actually if u can get plastic, more easier.. my faulty gigabyte G-power pro speed fan controller, modd to ccfl switch.. juz using large size scissors to 'korek' then the hole getting bigger so it can fit da switch.. so the result, from this : p/s : easy for switch wif circle shape This post has been edited by fiedozs: Nov 27 2010, 06:19 AM Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(CANONPIXMA @ Nov 27 2010, 09:28 AM) why failed? the metal kinda tough, and very very hard to control, so went out of shape

1st use the smallest drill bit u can find, the smaller the drill bit the easier to make a hole.. after u get a small hole u can proceed with bigger holes by using bigger drill bit.. slowly until the hole can fit the file then u can make into shapes that u wanted..

how u failed, mind show a pic? i guess the metal u use very thin, so the edge is like wave. the most cheapeast way, i think.

is there any particular reason u wanna use square switch? otherwise, change to round-shape switch then easier. since u already have a drill then just go get a hole saw. only cost about RM13~18.
