i prefer slightly heavier stroller as i like to hang my bags on the stroller. keeps me hands free when i go shopping. everything chuck in the stroller.

biggrin.gif

besides, the weight of the stroller is only felt when taking out from the car boot and keeping it back in... any other occasions that we need to lift the stroller?

Yes, it's super sturdy and solid, the advantage being a European brand. biggrin.gif

if im not mistaken, Halford is Malaysian Brand and it's either China or Malaysia.

Yes, it's a Malaysian product with a good export quality to Europe. That's why they are EU ceritified. Price wise is value for money. You probably couldn't find the Halford brand as Being branded differently.

Sorry, I couldn't remember the names. The SA in Mom's Care (Midvalley) mentioned once to me but I didn't take it seriously, as I've decided to purchase Peg Perego.

Can anyone recommend me a travel system that costs <2k but with the infant car seat is isofix compatible? (of course would need the isofix base to come with it as well...
*
Tough luck, pal. I assume you are looking at 3-in-1 travel system (carrier, car seat and stroller) for Universal Group 0 or 0+? The isofix base already costs $1200, and I only found it at Mamours after searching high and low. Available for Maxi Cosi Cabriofix only, which means you can only combines with Quinny stroller. During sales, you can get Cabriofix at $700 and Quinny Zapp Xtra at $1100. So, do the Maths.

Peg Perego also having similar travel system with isofix base. Peg Perego Viaggo (carrier cum car seat) combines with Peg Perego Pliko P3, however I couldn't find any shops that sell the isofix base. The cost of Viaggo and Pliko exceed $2000 already.

Most shops have never even heard of isofix before. At Mamours, you have to order it and wait for a week. If you dont mind the isofix, there will be more options that meet your budget.

Thanks! Just trying to ask. I saw graco travel systems going for about 1.4k  but unsure if it comes with the base.

as for maxi cosi, i did see quite a few places selling for 700 and the isofix base selling at 1k. so still looking...

actually i don't mind spending a bit more... but just looking for options atm... thanks anyway. appreciate it smile.gif

If I'm not mistaken, Graco travel systems (Malaysia model) doesn't support the Isofix. I saw many models in Amazon which has Isofix feature but when I asked in the shop locally, all of them told me that Malaysia model doesn't support Isofix as our government ruling is less stringent and it is not a must to have a car seat.

So again, our choice is quite limited in all in one Isofix compliance travel system. At the end, I bought a separate stroller and an Isofix car seat. biggrin.gif

thnx bro i do assume that the brands u've mention cost a bunch.. thnx for the info... a combo cud be a nice choice. happy.gif

My opinion is that there isn't one that fit all sizes. All strollers with pros and cons. Even most expensive range, ie Stokke and Bugaboo have cons being so bulky and takes up space in the car boot. So, choose one which you are more comfortable with and meet your budget.

Eg: if you are travelling alone with your baby most of time, look for a light weight stroller like Combi. You can open and close with one hand. Budget conscious parents can look out for Sweet Cherry or Halford, both are reliable and established in the market.

For me, I'm travelling with my husband and baby most of the time, so I choose Peg Perego which is heavy but sturdy. I like to hang my diaper bag and shopping bags at the handle which can take up to 25 kg even without my baby sitting in the stroller. So, it always depends on how you use the stroller and at what price you are willing to pay for it.

I used to like the idea of combo, however after my baby turned 6 months, he is too heavy to be carried in a carrier. His weight 8 kg plus carrier weight 4-5 kg, really a challenge for me! sweat.gif Also my baby can't use the carrier for long, mostly 18 months. Now I have a separate car seat, Recaro Proride that he can use up to 7 years old or 70 kg, and rear facing up to 40 kg.

Strollers nowadays very expensive n branded ahhh...

Some parents want to show off then buy expensive 1.

You all ever experience this?  Lol I personally met few kind of these people's.

Not all strollers are expensive or branded, some are affordable and nice. Stroller is just a product with different market segment like shoes, clothes, cars, etc. It is your choice to wear a Jimmy Choo or Vincci. If want to show off, there are better things to show off doh.gif

A few thousands stroller is hardly anything to show off whistling.gif

I think the sales was over yesterday, right? Additional 5% for walk in customers.
