There is a newly opened house, 2 storey, along Jalan SS2/75 PJ
Its opposite murni SS2.

I was there yesterday and they sold alot of baby stuff inclusive strollers. But their prices are quite low. Most of them below RM 1k. Quite high end stuff also.

I found a Graco stroller. All in 1 for age 0-5 for only RM 1100.
Nice and lightweight. Got installment plan summore.

Maybe you all can check it out there.

BTW i am not working for them. i am customer only.

there are free strollers available for usage in the curve and midvalley megamall.

usually i sanitize it first before putting my child on it. but it sure hell beats lugging around a stroller especially since i drive small car.

Thx for the link. But the price is not very competitive.

Added on July 24, 2012, 6:43 amI'm looking for car seat. Am considering between britax
First class plus and Halford Premier Zeus Plus... The halford is cheaper and quality looks good. But can't seem to find reviews on the halford. Any advise?

most of the mclarens are light weighted.

some peg prego's are light weighted, i bought 1 recently for my friend. standing fold. no need to bend down here there. just zip up and kau tim. very light weight.

light weighted strollers are not for everyone. some prefer heavier sturdier strollers with some weight. reason for that is they just wanna hang some shopping bags on it and to ensure it doesnt tilt over. most peg prego's are built for extreme robust hence the weight. if u have another kid, 1 can be put into sleeping position within the stroller while the older can stand directly behind on the stand and papa mama just push.

between bugaboo and combi, i personally would go for combi. the comfort and rigidity is towards combi.

bumblerise is also nice... but rm1k starting price...

the most important thing to me when choosing a stroller is the way it folds. looking at the way the bumblerise flite and all, i avoid all those at all cost.

for me, as long as lightweight, durable and folds vertical is good enough for me liao. i had a aprica which i had to fold downwards. my god my back........each time i have to squat , release, click, and get up again.
no more for me man. those folding, i forget it. put in car boot also take up damn alot of space, back also gonna break. lol.

Guys, would strollers at Baby Fair or any mom expo cheaper than retails shops outside?
*
slightly yes.

i compared the price of peg prego during fair and outside retail shops. the drop is not much for me.

i factor in especially the stupid baby fair at midvalley megamall. celaka by the time i find parking, park and all, i think is more worth paying a little bit more outside retail shops lor.

i go baby fair to get other neccessities instead. diapers are on promo price which is good. maybe some toys and clothings still ok . but if u go just to grab 1 item only, better forget it. go retail. makes life easier and more pleasant.

the only criteria i have is

1 - lightweight
2 - standing fold
3 - durable

all brands carry these. price ranges from the super expensive maclaren quinny peg to cheap unheard of brands like sweet cherry and sweet baby.

brand concious ppl will obviously go for the better brands thinking hey, its branded stuff. it will last longer and be built better and more expensive is good. branding is money and that's why u are being charged more . whether they are built better i dunno. i just buy whatever suits my criteria of lightweight, standing fold and durable that is on promo/offer. all brands will last u a few years and that's all u need.

durable not really on my list. i just added it in because i dunno what else to add in besides comfort.

most of the strollers or almost all the strollers are built to withstand the weight of toddlers anyway. some will withstand some heavyweight shocks, but then how often i will kena heavyweight shocks i also dunno.

lightweight is #1 as i've experienced a super heavy 4moms origami stroller and my friend's aprica before. each time i see a flight of staircase i just wish that god was helping me lift the weight. a few steps on the staircase and u would wish that u had a lightweight stroller too.

as for comfort, i think most strollers are comfortable enough. adding cushions and paddings can be done easily. but if too cushiony or too much padding, the heat will get to the baby .

Cushiony?  The foam is it?
*
some strollers use foam. some use sponge. nowdays most strollers use fabric cotton material with their specially woven and made materials. some call it thinsulate. they have layers and layers of these thinsulate material to form a cushion. the pros is, these material are lightweight, cheap to produce and hypoalleegernic. they clean easily too. foam is for those who dont possess the required technology . different brands, different technologies.

Recently eye-ing a stroller at Isetan KLCC.
Graco Evo. RRP is RM1999 but currently have value buy RM1000 only. Really interested to buy it. Initially wanna buy Combi Urban Walker which after less around 1k also but saw few reviews from internet giving poor feedback.
Anyone own Graco Evo? Can share your opinion and experience? I really hardly seen this model in any shopping Centre.

8.7kg is a great deal of weight. u need something lesser. there are alot of choices at affordable prices with lesser weight umbrella strollers.

i'm currently using peg perego pliko mini weighing around under 6kg. still quite heavy. my best friend just bought his chicco umbrella weighing in at 4.5kg. dunno how much or what model but i think he bought his when he was in japan.

every kg loss may not seem much, but it is a great deal of weight when travelling and for long hours/days.
