QUOTE(sinoffire @ Nov 29 2010, 12:34 AM) touche' ada pun yg ingat.the treble were all soo proud of couldnt have materialised with out the likes of butt, phill and co.there where no such term as "backup" player".QUOTE(pyroboy1911 @ Nov 29 2010, 12:36 AM) the one and only reason Butt cant make it to the first line up is because Keano and Scholesy is god mode back then, otherwise he will be regular. Having said that, he isn't a back up as well, he played a whole lot of games, either as starters or subs. check out wiki, about 30+ match a season. all 3 of them were regulars actually.keano, butt, and scholes.the 3 was one of the formidable midfield maestros we had.still remember his tackles, never the one to shy away from physical aspect of the game. This post has been edited by mhyug: Nov 29 2010, 12:40 AM |

QUOTE(SGSuser @ Nov 29 2010, 12:39 AM) oh what i really mean is rotation type players, not really the backup type that warms the bench or play in the reserves...much like JOS was some time ago rotation is the core in our club ma,no one plays all the games under the gaffer.not even the king himself, if you can remember. |

QUOTE(Wan @ Nov 29 2010, 12:43 AM) He was first choice and scoring lots of goals for Bordeoux the last time I read about him. It was a season or two back though. Not sure if he's a regular now. touche'http://soccernet.espn.go.com/player/_/id/5...bellion?cc=4716 07/08 first choice. 30+ games started, 12 goals 08/09 squad? 17 games started, 4 goals 09/10 backup 7 games started, 3 goals this season so far, 2 subs.. I don't think he should be considered as a flop. He wasn't bought to be fighting to places in the first team. He was brought in as a gamble. If it works out, great, if it doesn't, it doesn't bother us one bit kinda signing. He's the kind of signings teams do now and then. They saw the raw ingredient and thought it could turn into something better. But as is with most cases, not everything works out. We had Ole, Ruud, and Forlan and we operate with only one striker back then. missed his name in mah earlier post.fortune is another of low profile heroes.hats off for them. |

QUOTE(GIGGS_11 @ Nov 29 2010, 01:59 PM) Huah... 37 years ago today, a legend was born. no worries mate, giggs will always be with us even if he has hanged up his boots.all the years down that wing wont go off easily.Very worry this will be his final season as player with Man Utd Great weekend for us, it's weird that we won 2-0 against 9 men but 7-1 against Blackburn. Must be the power of Old Traford... let's kill Liverpool in our Theater of Dreams QUOTE(alien2003 @ Nov 29 2010, 08:32 PM) I would think its partially sealed with Amos getting ahead in the pecking order for bench GK before the Blackburn match. well still tom was on the bench for the rovers game, so he got back there if so to speak.QUOTE(GIGGS_11 @ Nov 29 2010, 10:08 PM) Amazing Giggs scored an amazing goal... cayalah touche'Some proud moments of Giggs that we always cherish - Scored Man Utd quickest goal... 16 sec - No red card in his entire Man Utd career - Most appearances record - Most decorated British player - Wonder goal against Arsenal - First ever hattrick for Man Utd the wizard flies on~ |

QUOTE(legendofhafiz @ Nov 30 2010, 03:15 PM) Anyone agree with me if I said it is better for being knock out tonight? At the moment , we should concentrate on premier league and FA cup. It is not worse to be knock out in QF , right?(and we already won Carling Cup back to back) At least the player can keep up with fresh legs and the youngster could be given chance in latter stage of FA cup if we beat Liverpool in third round. ...what la you.this cup is a stepping stone for the youths la.look back at all these years, we rarely go full force in carling cup in the spiruit of giving youths a platform to develop, a chance to play the game at the highest level and a chance for them to prove themself.you really want to take that away from that??QUOTE(pyroboy1911 @ Nov 30 2010, 03:26 PM) Being knocked out? Pfft. The gaffer and players always say, win win and win, game by game. That's the mentality, why do you think we are back to back Carling Cup winners before this? That's why squad depth and rotation is so ever important to us, coz we can rely on different players for different matches, regardless of importance. touch` It's like 0809 season, we won league, carling cup and world club champions cup, lost out on FA Cup in semi finals only to penalties, and final UCL only to lose to Barca which isn't a humiliating result anyway. That season highlights how much United wanna win every single trophy there is. QUOTE(Zen-X @ Nov 30 2010, 08:29 PM) fa cup taun depan nah, jumpa lagi nnt hope tonight's game goes on, no more freak weather like we had last season. wow, were lost inthe snow storm
well our young charges have a way to go still.fabio clearly b****ed by boa moarte, and while the others clearly cannot contain the spirit and experience of the hammers players. can we place the blame on tom??i doubt it.not even vds could have defended those goals.back 4 was out of sort, midfield was no where near defensive nor offensive. well our defend of the cup end here, and who was the one brought up about loosing this cup?? p.s: to the new jinxers, biar tok pawang saja jlnkan tugas...kembali la ke jln benar wakaka |
