QUOTE(Wan @ Nov 28 2010, 10:37 AM)
Rooney was unhappy in CR days because he was stuck out on the left wing and at all times have to track back when we're defending because Ronaldo on the other side won't do a thing defensively. This Rooney is involved directly in the middle of it all. The goals will come soon enough for him.

Added on November 28, 2010, 10:40 amSchweinsteiger would be awesome. But knowing how SAF works these days, he won't even think about him.

somehow i think there will be new signings this coming January (besides Lindegaard)....

EXCLUSIVE: Manchester United Winger Antonio Valencia Could Return In January Following NASA 'Water Torture' Treatment
http://www.goal.com/en/news/596/exclusive/...a-could-return-

QUOTE
Manchester United star Antonio Valencia has finally stopped limping this week after taking part in revolutionary ‘water torture’ sessions to speed up his recovery from a broken ankle, Goal.com UK can reveal.

The underwater treadmill designed by NASA has helped the winger make such rapid progress at the club's Carrington training ground that insiders believe he could return to full impact training as early as January and target a return to the first team the following month.

Valencia dislocated his ankle in a challenge with Rangers defender Kirk Broadfoot in September and there were initially fears he would miss the remainder of the season.

But the Ecuadorian has shocked medical staff at Old Trafford by making light work of his rehabilitation since he began exercise training a month ago.

The former Wigan man started his road to recovery immersed in water to take the weight off his injured ankle and to help improve his balance.

He then began a programme of light jogging in purpose-built hydrotherapy pools under the watchful eye of the United physiotherapists.

Valencia, 25, has since been introduced to the underwater treadmill to help him build up muscle strength in his legs in readiness for his return to action.

The club are using waterproof cameras to record his movement and pick up any problems in his running stride or general movement.

The treatment has been so successful that Valencia was seen walking around Carrington this week in normal stride and without a limp.

It has prompted hope that the £16 million star, signed from Wigan in summer 2009, could still feature heavily this season for Sir Alex Ferguson's side as they look to win back the Premier League title.

“The water work is heavy going, but he is determined to play a big part during United’s run-in,” said a source.

United have spent significant sums on the state-of-the-art water technology, which is used by the US Navy and a number of American football teams as well as Premier League rivals Chelsea and Aston Villa.

The television images of Valencia’s injury in September’s Champions League clash were deemed too graphic for Sky to broadcast live.

Yet the reaction of his team-mates made it immediately clear that he had suffered serious damage as his ankle twisted into an awkward position under the challenge from Broadfoot.

Apparently the reason why Ronaldo and Rooney managed to recover so quickly for their injuries thumbup.gif

wow, now its even earlier, before this the estimation was around Feb 2011 blink.gif

Valencia really determined and fired up to come back and help the team, and this is a very very good news, although i would wish that the team don't rush him, let him recover 100% first

btw, any news on Hargo's injury?

I would love to see this kind of performance again when we meet Arsenal and Chelsea.
When everybody is talking about how awesome Berba last nite with his goals, many of us i noticed totally forgot about our unsung hero, Ji Sung Park. From my observation, he displayed some magnificent football with his full stamina, running riot at the opponent's defense line each time the ball crossing the center half, and put his name on the score sheet. He didn't pass a lot, neither try to shoot himself, but his unpredictable running pace was more than enough to create some space for more creative players to create goalscoring opportunity.

Yeah I think he did a good job but it seems his better at free roles or behind the striker rather than wings. Did anyone notice sometimes he is a bit struggle to receive the ball at the left wing? I guess he really got three lunges as he did well connect with Evra and demolishing Salgado laugh.gif

TBH im not big fan of Park. but i think he's an important player to us for BIG games (UCL KO round/against any Top 5). like Fletcher. a game that we demand enormous workrate from a players to hassle opposition.

never fancy him as a winger against inferior opposition /lower half of the league, a game that i expect United had comfortable possession.

when we took a 3-0 lead last night, i hope SAF sub him out early for Obertan (which SAF did eventually). i think SAF share a same opinion, but due to Valencia /Giggs are unavailability. so, LW berth are direct competition between Park and Obertan.

anyway, its great to see him onto great scoring form this season after few dismal games.

5 goals and 3 assists. I thought he did well throughout. Even Nani is having 6 goals and 8 assists. Not that far off when comparing goal contributions, ain't it? Furthermore, the latter starts more games than the former does.

He will eventually surpass Nani a few weeks from now if he is given a chance to play.

I'm not a fan of Man Utd but somehow I feel delighted for the team with everyone on red hot fiery form. BPL surely has more drama awaits and let's hope for the best for the club we support. Again, really sublime finishes by Berbatov and very good teamplay among those players. Cheers smile.gif
