Hey guys, is speech to text or voice search supported in Eclair?
When I try to send a text msg and choose the mic option, I get' Voice Component is not installed on this phone'. shakehead.gif

Hey guys, not sure if any of you guys were having the same problem as I did in regards to the voice to text for 2.1 but after looking around for some time and trying out all sorts of apk's I finally found one that works.

So if you guys were having issues with getting the Voice to work, I've uploaded the 'Voice Search With Keyboard' apk file to the G5 server.

It works for me, tried and tested rclxms.gif rclxm9.gif thumbup.gif

PS/ I tried the Voice Search that was already in the server but it couldn't install

Just an idea, maybe it will be better if the G5 DropBox have a Froyo folder for Froyo only apps and an Eclair folder for Eclair only apps?

I had a similar problem with Papago a couple of days back, map arrow showing to turn right but voice telling to turn left doh.gif

Added on December 13, 2010, 10:06 pmI recently downloaded the Compas app for my GF's G5 and I alwyas get the "Abnormal magnetic field detected". On my phone its ok. Anyone else getting this? I've calibrated it many times but as soon as I restart the app I get that message doh.gif

If I'm not mistaken, it's the same. HC means high capacity. Apologies if I'm wrong.
