Which brand of peanut butters do u guys prefer or recommend?

i checked the labels of Skippy and Organic ones at jusco and i see very little difference in protein and fat content. Only difference is organic ones are priced twice as much than normal ones rclxub.gif

Not sure about Protein Content, but Steffi's has the least sugar content as I find it to be the least sweet among other brands. It's really rich in Peanut taste, so I guess there's alot of protein.

Try looking out for it. Can be found in Carrefour.

Duh. They are both made from peanuts... of course they both have the same protein and fat content.

It's the way they are planted that are different.

It's not the protein content that matters, but how the manufacturers prepared them.

Natural peanut butter tend to seperate at room temperature (oil will float on top) because its melting point is 3 deg celcius. Manufacturers then hydrogenate the oil to maintain its creamy consistency. This will create transfat, and this is the evilest of all fat out there (more evil than saturated fat).

Nowadays instead of doing that, some manufacturers add palm oil into the mix because they liquify at 35 degrees, so there's no need to hydrogenate.

If you really want to find good peanut butters, go to Cold Storage or Jusco supermarket, where you can have wider range of peanut butters instead of your hydrogenated Jiff and Ladies Choice.

For organic peanut butters, it's just how they farm the peanuts and what they put inside the peanut butter - with pesticides or no pesticides, with organic sugar or high fructose corn syrup.

Yeap. Or if you're still too paranoid, make one yourself, it's not very hard.

Took Steffi's and Adam's before, Steffi's saltier whereas Adam's slightly sweeter.

That is a myth, there is no scientific prove that peanut butter caused acne.
Only if you are allergic.

p/s: When buying peanut butter from shops, avoid those that contain hydrogenated oils, they bring harm to our body. The reason behind them is cause "consumer don't have to stir the oil on top of the peanut butter", always get natural salt and peanut.
