To those who are interested in taking their RAE examination, there is two version of RAE now. Written that is twice a year and computerize online test which usually is held in MCMC HQ twice a month. Written results usually out 2-3 months after the exam. Online test results r known as soon as u finish and can apply for license the next day.

Fees as always is rm50 for RAE and morse code exam.

Application of AA is rm60 and for each time of renewal plus fees per year. Class B is rm24 per year and class A is rm32 per year. Each time can only renew up to 5 years. That is rm60 application/processing fee plus how many year u want to renew. Rm60+rm120 for 5 years =rm180. All this info is in the guideline by mcmc. Just look it up

Cost to get Class B and A licenses:

1. Sit for Class B license = RM50
2. After passing, get a Class B AA and need to have at least 1 year before you could sit for Class A license = RM60 + RM24x2 (2 years validity) = RM108
3. Sit for Class A license (CW test) = RM50
4. Passing Class A, application for Class A license = RM60 + RM36 (the least 1 year) = RM96.

So total cost to get a Class B license = RM50 + RM60 + RM24 (the least) = RM134.

Total cost go get a Class A license = RM50 + RM108 + RM50 + RM96 (the least) = RM304.

Usually stick to the Citizen Band (or MCMC called Personal Radio Service on FIFTH SCHEDULE - Refer here
If u are valid ham license, then can utilize ham and citizen band.
Bomba, JPJ n few govt agencies already use called GIRN (GOVERNMENT INTEGRATED RADIO NETWORK), technically u cant hear whatever they transmit even tuned to their frequency (digital, encryption etc2)
