Hi guys, I am new here, and new to Vindictus as well. Currently playing on east server.

Took me a whole day to download the game, and another whole running the patchings. Yes, it took long.

I triend free VPN softwares like Cyber Ghost and Hotspot Shield but they don't work. Finally I used AOL desktop and it worked. Heres how:

1. Download AOL Desktop from AOL website. Don't register any account yet.

2. After you got it up and running register your account with the program.

3. Click [Connect Options], then [Advance Broadband Settings],it will bring you to the 'Broadband' tab of advance settings, do these here:

a. Open the drop down box of "You are currently editing settings for:" and select "Add broadband profile". Say we name it '"Vindictus"' here.

b. in the 'Connection Type' Drop down box select Home Network and then save it.

c. This is funny, you always have to connect with the the default "Broadband" in the connection type, then "Sign Off" and only then you can connect with the connection profile we just made that is '"Vindictus"'.

4. Wait, this is not over yet. You have to login to http://vindictus.nexon.net/ using AOL first. Its a must. Only then you should start your game and login to the game itself.

5. Theres some downsite. I played in some party with those americans and they are complaining about bad lag. I never play in a party since, fearing they might report me. And since AOL gives you a different Ip each time you login, you will be delayed access to mailbox and depot when you start your game.
WELL BEFORE YOU GOOOO, pm me your IGN. I would like to play with some fellow malaysians since partying with those americans is kinda risky. I haven't party with malaysians though, so I am not sure if it will be too laggy.
p/s:
In my soloing experience, you will still enjoy the game, in the beginning, but as you go higher, there are boss or bosses appearing in the game together and that is hard and time consuming to solo. And those raid games, it will be more fun to play with friends. So PM me ya.

Well im the representative for the Vindictus US server or GM if you can say +haha.anyway,this thread focused on CN server a few years back while it was actually for US server.you can take your pick though,whether choosing CN or EU or US server.

As for EU...I CAN help you with the proxy but you are on your own there as I dunno any asian playing there :3

If any of you need help with setting the proxy,you can add my facebook and ill help with it though dont guarantee that it will work 100% though +haha.i can help with the installation and making it full version(no 30 days trial) but about the ip/proxy,you have to find it on your own :3

Some update on US server...
WE ARE FINALLY GETTING DUAL BLADES or CHAIN BLADES or CHAKRAM WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL THAT THING.maintanance on tonight(24th July) and 3am tomorrow morning DB is ready for US players T^T

the CN server got english in game or not?

I apologize if this have been said but what of the Australian servers? Would lag be better if we play there? Is it also region-locked? What's the total game size inclusive of patches?

Kinda itching for a monsterhunter-esque game that I can play WITH people really and vindictus looks like a real treat but seems like too much hassle.

But what about the lag? I am guessing on the best times, lowest achievable ping would be about 250+ms ping for US east server? I heard connection has been unreliable for the CN server but the last post that stated that is already a couple months old, could someone correct me if I'm wrong?

If you're playin in China server, the cash shop items can be purchased by having alipay account. It's something like paypal but its used in China. If you're playin in EU/NA server, for further info u shuld ask other members.

And yes unifi is ok for this game, no problem. If you're joining CN server guangdong, u may ask Titania to guide u. If you join Tianjing, u can find me.

Currently playing at CN server. Is it normal to finish/clear the dungeon but not getting any money(gold)?
