Just dropping a quick thread in these forums to find fellow M'sians playing Vindictus Nexon NA! I'm playing on the East server.








BIG EDIT to add a GUIDE to help you guys play Vindictus :

Ok I decided to post a guide for all of you, to help you guys access Vindictus using proxies!

Proxy Guide:

1) Well first you have to download Proxifier using bittorrent. Search for it in thepiratebay.org
2) Then go to websites to find US SOCKS5 Proxies :
Search in Google --> "proxyfire" or "proxy heaven". The websites give lots of SOCKS5 proxies! Or just search "US SOCKS5 proxy".
3) IT MUST BE US SOCKS5 PROXIES! Important!
3) Try not to use 27977 port proxies, usually don't work. Try other ports.
4) Add the proxy IPs in the program (under Options > Proxy Settings), and TEST to make sure it is working! Any RED messages means the Proxy is not working. Then tick the box to choose that proxy to use.

5) I recently found out that 27977 proxies can work, BUT you have to test it out by using browser to access google.com, and if it loads, means the proxy is working fine


Steps to play :
1. Register for account in Vindictus website. Download Vindictus and install.
2. Use the vindictus.exe in the installation folder to start Vindictus, so you can manual login from the game client
3. Turn on the US proxy you found (tick box) in Proxifier
4. Log in with your username and pw in Vindictus game client. IF you get error messages, TRY again, 3-4 times more. If you still can't, something is wrong with your proxy.
5. When character selection comes, Alt-Tab and turn off the proxy (untick box), then only select character to play.
6. Important note : Do not close the Proxifier program, just turn off the proxy by unticking the box.
7. This is so that you can use MALAYSIAN IP to play! ^__^ Yay!


In-game features :
1. IF you want to access the Marketplace, you have to turn on the proxy first. Just tick the box again to use and when you are done buying/selling, untick the box again to go back to M'sia IP! DO NOT access the marketplace without the proxy or there will be error, then you have to restart the game again to access the market.
2. Remember to go to your Depot to collect FREE ITEMS!! You also have to use Proxy to access. Depot button is at the bottom right hand corner.
3. [added by masashi89] IF your Friends Messenger in-game is not working, try relogging again to make it work. Try again if still cant work!


ABOUT LAG :
1. Playing right after maintenance will have NO LAG! I get 4-5 bars of connection with fellow malaysians and singaporeans! ^__^
2. But it will only last for 12-16 hours! Even the US people will lag after that! So it is NOT because M'sian IP is slow.
3. Nexon is trying to fix their servers or do daily resets, so be patient, the lag will be fixed soon! =)

i though Vindictus got region block
malaysian can play~?

I use a program called Proxifier. But the method is to turn the proxy off after logging in, and you can still use M'sian IP to play. Not much lag! ^__^

there are several vpns/proxy that offer service to bypass the block.

Lagless proxy seems to offer this, as i saw on their web.

well.... rich kid games........ theres no proxy program WHICH give good bypass

i mean look at proxifier....... its for pay if you not pay....... dont ever think of playing coz it wont work

Ehm, actually, I'm using free proxies, never paid a single cent. Free cracked Proxifier, and using free SOCKS 5 proxies posted on many websites. ^__^

Don't really need proxies to play Vindictus. Just use a free proxy to log-in ONLY, then turn off the proxy to use Malaysian IP directly. Minimal lag. ^__^

I tested the proxy method it worked but problem is friend list and the market is not working

To use the market, Alt-Tab out of the game, turn on proxy again, then access the Market. Once you're done, you can turn proxy off again! ^__^ Market will need the same proxy address used for your login! Important!

Also, if friends msnger not working, try relogging in again! Sometimes if the proxy you use is not strong or quite slow, the msnger cant load.

And for those who need to find proxies, do a search on google for US SOCKS5 Proxies. Lots of public proxies everywhere. ^__^ Looking forward to seeing more SEA people in Vindictus! ^__^

One more thing I wanna add, it is better for manual login through the game client! Try not to use the website.

Create a shortcut on your desktop for this file in your Vindictus folder for manual login :

Nexon\Vindictus\en-US\vindictus.exe


Once you login with proxy, turn it off at the Character Selection screen! Important! ^__^

It's a source engine mmorpg with cutscenes and good combat.... I tried it just now. Maybe will keep playing.

what i would like to know blypgiggz is the partying. With Aol its really laggy so i was hoping this might help out on the latency when it comes to partying.

Well the thing is, Vindictus just came out of Open Beta, and they are solving latency and lag issues. Go check out their Vindictus forums to read a sticky post about Lag Reporting. Currently not just non-US people are lagging, but their own US people too.

Normally joining a party right after maintenance will give you super smooth play.

The best no-lag game is when you pair up with fellow M'sians and Singaporeans. Your teammates will sometimes get 3-4 bars of connection speed. Tried this a few times before.

Try not to host games unless you are playing with SEA people. Best results, play solo for a while. Haha.

Did you add SOCKS5 proxies into Proxifier? Once added, you need to select it with a tick in the box. Then untick it after you log in, right at the character selection screen. Better to log-in through the client too (look above), not the website. If you're still having this problem, try signing into the website once to make sure your Vindictus account is activated.

yeah i did tried with other sea players but somehow the lag is still evident. not as worst as using aol but still rubberbanding. normally it will be the hoster thats smooth while i'll be the one with one bar. I'm not really sure whats the main issue. So most of the time i go solo though i would've prefer to party play.

First you gotta search for US SOCKS5 proxies in Google. There are many many websites providing free SOCKS5 proxies.

Once you've installed Proxifier, you gotta go to "Options > Proxy Settings", then add a proxy. Enter the IP address, then the port, then click "Test" to make sure it works. If it does, click OK, and tick the box next to it to start using.

Start up the game from the Vindictus.exe, login with username and pw. Once you reach character selection screen, Alt-Tab and untick the proxy (turn it off) and continue playing.

Again, avoid proxies with 27977 port. I'm not sure why most of them dont work. ^^;; Maybe I do not know how, but I suggest you choose proxies with other ports.

Yup same thing with me at the moment. Again, it's Nexon's relay server problems and they're fixing it. When they have fixed it, the rubberbanding should be minimized greatly!

Also, try playnig right after maintenance!! You will get amazing lag free results, and it will last for 12 hours. ^__^

P/S By the way, what's you IGN? Would be great to add a fellow SEA friend as you.

I just tried it and dunno whether it works or not coz it just said to me that the server is under maintained.

Hopefully it will works for me thx blypgiggz for the tutorial how to use proxies .

BTW is the server really under maintained??

Hmm nope, but when you tested your proxy, did it work? It should test it all the way to Test 3. Try Login a few times, if the maintenance thing still appears. Important thing is that you must Test the proxy with NO errors in the Proxifier program. Once you see any Red sentences while testing, means proxy is not working properly.

Let me give you an example of a working tested proxy :

[23:07] Starting: Test 1: Connection to the Proxy Server
[23:07] IP Address: 66.176.146.177
[23:08] Connection established
[23:08] Test passed.
[23:08] Starting: Test 2: Connection through the Proxy Server
[23:08] Authentication was successful.
[23:08] Connection to www.google.com:80 established through the proxy server.
[23:09] A default web page was successfuly loaded.
[23:09] Test passed.
[23:09] Starting: Test 3: Proxy Server latency


This must show in the proxifier test window.

btw there is me or the server.. it seems like im all alone in the town area.. -,-.
and one more thing.. it disconnect me as soon as i disable the proxy

its a good game but the connection issue makes it lost its fun

Do not close the Proxifier program. You must ONLY untick the proxy box but continue letting the Proxifier run. This is to let you use M'sian IP after login.

Click the "New Ch." button at the top right hand corner and choose you channel (1-200). I am in Channel 177. Other channels with lots of people are channels 1-20. Try it.

if u got that msg.. better u find other proxy.. ive try so many proxy in order to get smooth game

as i already said....... all the people using proxy Will have trouble playing....... because the issues is proxy wont guaranteed satisfaction.......

i thought blypgiggz said that u can use malaysia ip to play..just need to bypass the login...so are u guys playin with the others ip?i mean with the proxifier turn on?

before playing need the luck 1st........ no luck no play the games

what i mean is although its not 29777 or whatever socket number is...... the proxy always busy....

i did try what e pvper site and they suggest me to forget to use proxy because whatever you do, proxy will become quiet use often

1 proxy can support several number of comp
so....... think of it as FREE proxy....... unless you pay for that proxy or the program i think that will be no busy proxy

Whatever method you use, when you party using a proxy; chances are you'll be getting murderous latency or your party members will be..

You can use proxy and treat it like a semi single player game. Once you party anyone, the fun is gone.

As I mentioned before on the thread, you only need a proxy for log-in. After that you can turn off the proxy but leave Proxifier on, and continue using M'sian IP.

Yup! You can use M'sian IP to play. Only need a proxy to log-in, then turn off the proxy (by unticking the box) at Character Selection Screen. Leave Proxifier on. ^__^

omg, been searching for a proxy since half an hour ago... @@ any tips on how to get a good one?

Try searching under Google "proxyfire" and "proxy heaven". It should come out as the 1st search results and are websites giving alot of US SOCKS5 proxies. ^__^

Haha yah, Nexon fixing the lag problems because the US people also facing the same thing. Once they fix their relay servers, it will have much less lag.

When you want to access Marketplace, turn on proxy. =)

Did you test the US SOCKS5 proxy to make sure it is working? Read through all the posts here for the steps to log-in. =)

blypgiggz thank you very much...now i can play...no lag..cos solo..and the proxy is kinda easy to find...seriously...

Sigh.. in the end it's still a semi single player game when we can't get a smooth party gameplay..

well at least we can still play the game.....
even with malaysia ip its will be lag ( party gameplay )..so there is no point for them ( nexon NA ) to unblock it...
at least, yeah..we can play without spent a cent to it...i like it...
