AD50 was for RM1200. I was planning to buy the AD30, but the difference in sound quality was so huge, that when my dad heard it he gave me the extra money right away. biggrin.gif

Of course, for those who don't have such generous fathers, the AD30 is still a pretty good amp.
*
where did u get it??
planning to get a ad50 after SPM

its a great copy, it even has a set neck not bolt on....
n if my memory serves me right, it has a mahogany neck
but a different body.... its pretty heavy.... its almost a clone in design, only the headstock

How does the JEM copy's headstock looks like?

Normally, "Parts by FR" means it's not original Floyd Rose I think. But Jackson's Floyd rose is OK I think.
*
well, thats for sure haha

the headstock... is not like an ibanez tho... aint pointy if i remembered correctly...

yeah, as blacktrix said, woh fatt brings in Sx's.  but as far as i saw only the vintage tele's/strats and the black poison series. (SG's Lp's...) the lp clones, im not so sure if they bring in. you can call them up, but beware, they can be kinda cold with their 'customer service' tongue.gif

quarantined, i hv only owned my tele copy for a few weeks, so i cant say if its consistently good. i dont really know what u mean by consistently good too, as guitars, over time, the set up 'runs' from the original..and requires set ups and maintainence. and this can happen to any guitar. essentially, guitars that are well built in the first place should be able to last a long time. smile.gif

oh wait, what am i talking here. did u mean by every unit is consitently the same quality? according to bassraptor (whom i bought mine from) , the quality can get quite random. so it would be advisable if you pay attention when picking out your Sx...

i guess other more experienced ppl who own Sx's can give your better advice.  smile.gif

they have plenty of SX LP's smile.gif
but SX LPs typically cost around 600-800 iirc la

SX vs. Other brands  biggrin.gif

Well, I have had the pleasure to have owned an sx, 2 epiphones, a squire and a fender. Sold the squire to get an sx, sold the epi les paul to get a fender.

The SX in my opinion is great way to acquire a guitar which would bormally be out of ur budget range. I have an sx Tele and tested an sx strat. in terms of sound they are both good and better than squiers cuz of the pickups (squier use bar, not seperate poles) but i would have to complain about the make tho. The neck doesn't feel as good as a squier, the fingerboard is not as smooth and u need to get it set up properly like he said. And the logo.. oh.. the logo...

Never tried the sx lp myself, but it looks good. dunno how the neck feels like
tho. Squiers arent worth it unless u get the higher end ones which cost around 900+ those are better built and worth ur money. But then again at those prices, u might as well hold out for a nice mexican.

Epiphones, u gotta be careful with, some are made in China now and are sold at ridiculously high prices. 2.2k for a chn epi at yamaha shops!!! wtf!? 2.4 for a korean! a bit overpriced imho. At that rice u cud already get a Jap fender mail ordered to you.

oh well,  thumbup.gif good luck with ur choice

SX Lespauls necks is as big as an xbox HUGE!! FAT !!

idk guys
i tested this SX GG1 custom [black beauty copy]
the only flaw i can see is the neck being too fat n the cutout at the bottom is sharper than an ori LP....
its really heavy

its even heavier than my epi LP classic
same woods but from different places

AFAIK that SX uses cuban mahogany
n IIANM my epi LP classic uses african mahogany

cuban mahogany = better ? than african?

smile.gif True bypass is not necessarily a good thing :
http://www.petecornish.co.uk/case_against_true_bypass.html

The Laney LC15/30 Valve amps are pretty good for home practices.

BTW about the VOX AD30VT tube amp. DO I have to replace the tube inside? Will it like run dead or die. How can I purchase a new tube? Where?
*
i believe a tube will have a period of life
i think it will die abit l8r..... but i think it'll last for quite awhile

i think u can em tubes @ Octave Electronics, Jalan Timor, PJ, near Amcorp Mall

http://www.octave-electronics.com/index.html

i wud rekemen a JJ ECC83 S..... heard that it adds slightly more gain n warmth and makes the overall sound much better smile.gif
