HRCs arent really good.. its sounds thin and the dist is very plain
save up for a valveking or a classic 30 if you planning to go tube |

QUOTE(nick_drake @ Oct 31 2005, 10:22 AM) between the cube and AD30...c'mon la guys.. yes there is tube in the AD30.... but the tube is at the preamp section... not the poweramp. You wont get that sought after tube overdrive unfortunatelythe AD30 is better in terms of versatality.... but by playing with the cube you get a more "raw" feel.... i do agree that the AD30 is better mainly because its got more amp models but i guess it all comes down to personal preference.... if you buy something and later feel unsatisfied with it that only means that you made the ultimate gear hunting mistake of not testing it properly.... |

hmm i always thought the AD series have the tube in the preamp section...lol
i think the main rule when it comes to buying gear is to try it and make the decision on your own..... unless of course you;re buying online like i said before... its all personal preference.... ive tried the cube and the ad alot of times.... the cube30 and the ad30.... and i personally own a cube 15 the cube gives a "raw" sound.... lots of ppl rave over both of these amps.... and i don't really see why is there an "obvious" choice here. |

a good guitar is a guitar that serves you well.... play it before you buy it...
some people prefer thick necks, some prefer thin ones.... some prefer hard tails, some prefer floating trems hardware doesnt really matter imo.... you cn always change that afterwards... |

yea for the cube 15 and 30 theres a huge difference....
volumewise they're prettty much the same but you get much more stuff on the cube 30 and the dist is much better.... you can go up to 5-6 without the speakers breaking on you same goes for the ad15.... sounds thin and ermm.... dunno how to describe... the kind of sound you get when u turn ure tone knob down |

single coils have less output and sound 'thinner' also they tend to create alot of unwanted noise... especially on dist
humbuckers eliminate the noise and have a fatter fuller tone.. go try one and you know what im talking about |

the problem is either the bridge saddle or the nut
even with an amp you;r 5th string will still have a lower volume than the rest |

well bring it to the guitar shops at kl and see how much they'r charging
try to check the bridge and the nut for yourself..... i can guarantee its either the nut or the bridge thats sucking away the sustain and the volume |

please correct me if im wrong but....
i do believethat the amp is the main gear in your rig that will most influence your tone go try for yourself... no matter how good the guitar is... through a crappy amp it'll sound like shit dont limit yourself to beginner packages... you'll find taht with a few extra hundred you'll get a much better deal |

the LP is heavIER than normal gats... but that does not neccessary make it heavy.
its preferential whether or not to regard it as heavy... to a weighlifter, 60kgs may not be heavy at all...but its different with a weak fella... the first time i pickedup an electric guitaar i tot it was pretty heavy, probably because i was used to playing on a classical gat... no problem afterwards.... comfort lvls vary with the user.... as they say... ure most comfortable when ure used to it This post has been edited by evo.com: Sep 21 2006, 08:12 PM |

im just trying to point out that when something is heavier, its not neccessary heavy
well like i said... comfort varies with the users.... heck this discussion aint going nowhere and its pointless anyway... not like ppl are going to get more information on cheap guitars and amps from knowing the weight of the gats...lol |
