Guys, add me to the list.. New LYN member & new Personarian... XD
PE Bronze Garnet M-line, WUP 6**6, Setapak/W.Maju/Melawati area  biggrin.gif
just got my car last week, but I've been reading the thread since V1!!

Thumbs up guys!!  thumbup.gif

I love my new car..But I'm facing some problems... Mostly noise problems..

1.Cornering or simply driving on uneven road, metal knocking sound. I understand that it's the steering assembly/orifice valve thingy.

2.Dashboard rattling noises when accelerating. Really irritating, sounds like some loose screws but I'm not so sure about it.

3.Buzzing sound from driver side aircond vent, from what I read it seems like it can be solved by reprogramming the ECU?

4.Door panel sound from front passenger seat. It sounds like 2 pieces of leather rubbing against each other when I'm driving, but if I wind down the window just a little bit, like a few mm, the sound is gone. Anyone encountered this before? Seems like the rubber is pressing too hard on the window glass when the window is fully up.

5.Door panel sound from rear right passenger seat. I have no clue where it came from. Everytime I go over bumps, there's a noise, as if there's something IN the door panel that's loose. Sounds like 'tak' 'tak'. And, the sound is quite persistent and it happens 9 out of 10 bumps I drive over, no matter how slow I drive. I'm quite sure that the sound came from the door panel because I can hear it very near me, like right behind me. So far this is the most annoying and irritating sound in the car.

Anyone facing no. 2, 3,4 & 5? Going to CoSE tomorrow, maybe to let them find out what's wrong & where do the noises come from. Then maybe order parts & make another appointment. Hmm..  hmm.gif

Also, I'm planning to change my stock rims to 17' rims. The guy at the tyre shop suggested that I should use 215/45/17, but I'm not quite sure about that.. Will 215 be a little too wide & hit the fenders while cornering or overloading? E.G; 4-5 persons in the car.

Pls advice, sifu sifu personarians out there... tongue.gif

I seriously hope I didn't get a lemon... So far no prob with engine & all that, only noises... Loud, irritating noises..

today i just use back the original air filter after  using redline drop in for 20k, power and pick up did improve if using redline but fc sucks haha.

just back from doing 30k service, total damage 45.90 ( i bring my own lube)
*
FC depend how u press it. with drop in air filter, the pickup will be smoother.

I 2nd that.. Change exhaust itself can feel a lot of difference.. Especially for auto transmission..
Even under warranty also what is there to be spoilt in the exhaust system lah?? The exhaust system wont affect other parts of the car except for higher FC in poorly tuned car setup..

Added on December 7, 2010, 2:29 pm

Erm Serdang SC can bring own lube if im not mistaken.. RM99 for HX7..
*
for auto transmission, it is advisible to use 4-2-1 extractor + normal center bullet + S-flow rear muffer.

QUOTE(xandras @ Dec 8 2010, 02:14 PM)
Hey, just came back from my appointment at CoSE. And I must say, they did a good job!!  thumbup.gif

Now my car sounds like a new car should..  rclxms.gif

1.The buzzing sound is gone, ECU reflashed to 3.9. FC about the same, easier to reach 110 without needing to step on the pedal kaw kaw, drive-by wire lag reduced slightly ( still need to test a few times to reconfirm this. )

2.The sound on the door panels, as I said, is due to my tint being too thick. So they just applied some silicon lubricant & voila, no more noises. The rear door panel noise that sounds like something's broken every single time I go over bumps; well, there WAS something that's broken in there. A clip, apparently. They replaced that as well.

3.Tube A, Tube B, clip, orifice valve, all replaced. Result: No more klonking noises while goin over uneven road.

4.Dashboard rattling noises fixed, replaced some aircond vent part for me. I'm guessing the previous vent's screw was broken or something, not so sure about that. They also tightened & changed screws on my dashboard wherever applicable, & now there's no more noises.

Overall: I'm a happy man  rclxms.gif

Altho they took about 3-4 hours to search and settle all the problems, I'm still happy cos they did things well there, unlike those authorised SCs here.

And the orifice valve/steering assembly thing, they installed it to me right on the spot without having to wait for 2 MONTHS, WHICH IS WHAT THE FAT DUDE AT PEKELILING/JALAN TUN RAZAK AUTHORISED SC told me.  vmad.gif

Oh, and it's all for FREE!!  thumbup.gif

It's closed on Sundays. And as I said, call them up to make an appointment with them. OR you can also go to the CoSE yourself and make an appointment with them, but that would defeat the purpose of Alexander Graham Bell inventing the telephone.

Center of Excellence Complex
KM 33.8 Westbound Shah Alam Expressway,
47600, Subang Jaya,
Selangor Darul Ehsan.

You might wanna search somewhere on this forum for the contact number to make the appointment. I don't have it cos I went to the CoSE as a walk in customer, but because their schedule is full I made an appointment with them.

Eh Zeng, you wanna install the VS + Grounding ah? How many VS u installing? I also wanna install leh..
*
Meaning to say, the do accept problem checking and part replacement if any on Saturday? All the SC, they only accept problem checking on weekday only.

Well, do ask Zeng to gather all the request. Air filter, spark plug & VS, so that we can geta cheaper price. smile.gif

Yes, they do. But Saturdays will be very crowded cos it's a weekend, you might wanna make an appointment if you wanna do it on Saturday. You can walk-in on weekdays, but make sure you reach there by 7.30 - 7.45 AM. CoSE opens at 7.45 AM, but even by then you'll find yourself in quite a long queue. It's first come first serve basis. I made my appointment at 9.30 AM, but I reached there at 7.45 AM & they attended to my car first. So the earlier you go there, the earlier you will be served & your car be checked.
*
Are you pretty sure they doing problem checking and part replacement on Saturday?

As khtee said, service they sure do. But if you wanna do problem checking and part replacement on a Saturday you need to make an early appointment, cos it's too crowded. They will only ask you to leave your car there if you go there late, or if there's no parts available to fix to your car. What I suggest you to do is call up the CoSE and ask for their opinion on when you should go, and it depends on what problems you're facing with your car. Don't make appointments too late in the afternoon, cos you might end up have to leave your car there till the next day as they will run out of parts.
*
well, will call CoSE. Zeng, how the arrangement? Where r u gone? tongue.gif
