may i know if we need license to own paintball markers? or we dun need one? i dont want to go to jail

he's not really trolling, the answer is kinda 'legit' as legality issue of markers falls in 'grey area'.. something like "izzit legal to watch porn or have sex?" - if in ur own private home, who cares, right..? but wide open in public, then u r looking for trouble lor....
me, i'd still prefer t use those pasar malam dvd as example....

- possession of firearms replica is against the law, but then toy guns are almost everywhere
- big tourneys are mostly backed by gov sector like KBS, even some of their personels involve in it..
- walking around openly with a fully assembled marker is a big no-no thing
- clubs & state associations are legally registered, even the national federation is in the making now
- owning a marker just to shoot stray animals in ur kebun or house area is another no-no

so how leh...?

u dont go out with a fully assembled marker swinging around in public. its a big NO.
use ur marker in the Paintball field with a proper safety (netting, mask, pad etc)

hi guys! happy new year and happy shooting! since we are on the subject, I wud like to ask something like a hypothetical question.

Q1 : Say you have this guy who owns 2 or 3 markers, took his 2 children complete with their safety gear, drove to a secluded bush/jungle/wooded area and starts to have some family outing paintball practice....will they get into trouble?

Q2 : You have another guy that has a huge backyard which he converts into a CQB field, then he invites his friend for a shootout...will they be in trouble?

Honest and straight answers are welcome but since I'm a straight guy with a sense of humour, not so straight answers from not so straight guys/gals are oso welcome...he he

Do you guys know of any MIBs or criminal lawyers who are active paintballerz? Maybe we can appoint these guyz as unofficial law guides in the forum?

Q1 : If there's people around and report it to the authority, they will get into trouble (in my opinion. Im sorry im not good in law ) Because we never know who's bush/jungle/wooded area they're playing. it could be some one property ( ladang/dusun/kebun etc ). It would be better if you ask permission from the land owner. explain to them properly what you are going to do and play

Q2: i dont think so. its more like private field..

Q1 & Q2 - private land, not so big of a prob but would prefer to have nettings around the practice area just in case la... u know la some ppl with so much PHD, just bcoz u can have something that they can't... 1 tiny paint splash on their chicken's feet also can go to tv3's aduan rakyat...

You don't need to purchase the macroline, it comes with the marker. From the first picture you posted, the macroline and ASA (circled in your second picture) was removed and the remote line is connected directly to the marker's tombstone.

is dye dm9 marker suitable for woodsball?
and any idea how much will it cost?

im not going to talk about price here.
but i must say, its a good marker to play woodsball or speedball. this week u can running up the hill or crawling under the tree with that marker, and u could dive into dorito or bunker out the back center next week using the same marker.

i wonder y pump is not popular here in malaysia

too bad i have no idea the price range for it though

i used DM9 in woodsball before i got my NT, i would say it is a great marker if you planning to play both woodsball or speedball

upgrade to billy wing bolt or TechtT bolt and it will be even better.


i was planning on buying empire Trracer pump maybe in March. anyone used or tested it before?
