This is a great video on what to expect before you pop your cherry on the paintball field. I did before my first time. It helped. A lot.

The guy is not a pro player but he is old school. When you're finished with that, watch the rest of his videos.

Beginners guide to paintball

Oh, one more thing. Keep your finger off the trigger. Only have it on the trigger when you are aiming at your opponent and ready to shoot.

I've seen a lot of players shooting themselves in the foot and/or teammates. This doesn't only happen with newbies, mind you. I've seen regular players do it as well. They tend to get hurt a lot more due to burst/full auto/ramp shots and much, much more hilarious to watch. laugh.gif

Cute. Your mind tricks don't work on me. I can see straight through those multicams.

Figuratively speaking, of course. If it was literal, that would be gross.

C'mon, don't tell me you don't know who I am. I know we're not office mates anymore but it's only been three months for crying out loud.

Plus, I was there for your first paintball session and saw you take one right in the face for your first hit. laugh.gif

Meh. It's nothing fancy. Just a good reliable electro marker to play with. Way better than the rentals at least.

@badman

You like that eh? Well, that's only the censored, sugar coated version of what I had in mind. laugh.gif

Thanks MrNiceGuyIssac.

how about this gas line? roughty how much?
*
You don't need to purchase the macroline, it comes with the marker. From the first picture you posted, the macroline and ASA (circled in your second picture) was removed and the remote line is connected directly to the marker's tombstone.

i used DM9 in woodsball before i got my NT, i would say it is a great marker if you planning to play both woodsball or speedball

upgrade to billy wing bolt or TechtT bolt and it will be even better.
i was planning on buying empire Trracer pump maybe in March. anyone used or tested it before?
*
Is the empire trracer available here and how much is it?

It's an awesome pump marker. You can even convert it to a stock class marker, which is so full of win. drool.gif

RM2.7k I assume. Just take note of the hydro date for the tank. Most marker owners tend to let them go with only a year or less on them. Rehydro cost about RM200, me thinks. Still, a great deal.

BTW, there seems to be a new indoor CQB type recball field opening in Selayang. Also, the first field that allows the use of .50 caliber pellets AFAIK. From the pictures I've seen, they're using GI Milsim's FM50 guns as rentals. One thing that bothers me though; they don't have any carpet/sand on the floor. It's gonna get slippery when covered in paint.

This should be great for beginners wanting to try out paintball. I've shot and got hit with .50 pellets before. They don't sting as much and you can shoot a helluva lot more with every tank fill. Also, since .50 cal range is slightly less then normal .68 cal, the CQB field seems to be the perfect place to play in.

New CQB paintball field sauce

How much more paint can you shoot with .50 cal? Check out the video below. Thats A LOT of paint going downrange. Even Chris Lasoya (spokesman for GI Milsim) says he only needs a pod and a hopper to kick ass.

Suppressive fire with .50 cal paintball pellets

Depends on the tank. Most fiber tanks needs to be rehydro every 5 years. Others only 3. Check the tank label.

And for those who intend on buying Stako tanks, a word of advice. Although they do weight almost to nothing, keep in mind that you CANNOT re-hydro them.

If you are on a tight budget, get a 2nd hand marker. Here's a few that I would recommend which will only cost you less then 1000 ringgit by order of my own personal preference. You can use the rest of your budget for a loader and tank.

1. Smart Parts Vibe
2. Azodin Zenith
3. Spyder Electra

If your budget is RM1800 for marker only, I would recommend the following:

1. Macdev Droid
2. Proto M8 or DM9 (Based on reviews, the M8 was on par with the DM9, but priced considerably less. Dye then decided to cancel the Proto M series to avoid conflict with the DM guns. They focused on the Proto Matrix Rails instead)
3. Ego 7 or Ego 8 (about RM200 ringgit difference)
4. Etek 3

Again, this is my own personal preference. I'm a fan of spoolies if haven't notice that.

Thanx for the suggestion... will consider it.. i'll do some searches..

by the way, is there bigger difference between getting and older year marker and the new 11 series in term of performance? or is it have slight difference only?  hmm.gif
*
No, not really. I mean, there are some differences in the ergonomics and milling of the marker itself, but in terms of performance, they mostly remain almost the same.

Although, from reviews I've read, the new Ego 11 seems to have a "softer" shot compared to the older generations. Planet Eclipse seems have made the new marker focusing on how the gun shoots instead of how fast the gun can shoot, which has always been a trademark of the Ego's.

I already did as a matter of fact. Just need to get a "black heart" for my baby so that she can kick ass. tongue.gif

OMG, it just occurred to me that I completely forgot about the Macdev Droid. That's another superb spoolie that you can get at about RM1800. sweat.gif

Hello there I'm new to paintball and just wondering do every marker use the specific size of pellet or any size also can?
*
Most markers uses the standard .68 caliber paintball pellets. Only Kingman and GI Milsim have come up with .50 caliber specific markers.

So far, only Planet Eclipse have come up with a .50 caliber conversion kit that allows selected markers to shoot .50 caliber pellets.

You should update the first page. Try to separate it to the type of field as well, either speedball or woodsball or both.

the package comes with proto primo, which is not an e-loader, doubt it would match the speed of an slg...
*
Agreed. The SLG can shoot pretty fast, so you need an e-loader to feed paint properly. Unless, of course, you capped the marker to shoot no more then 5bps.

Also, get an HPA tank instead. Co2 is not as consistent.

Be warned, though. The 2009/2010 Proto SLG had a notorious issue with its sear tripper that causes the gun to fire full auto without even touching the trigger.

Take note that this is a rare occurrence which only effects certain batches of the marker. Also, there are ways to fix it.

Still, kinda funny to watch. laugh.gif

i would like to join any woodsball game, party or event..i hope u guys dont mind to share knowlage whit me smile.gif

i would like to asks what marker good for newbay for woodsball game
*
It depends. Do you shoot a lot of pellets each time you play? Do you care if your marker looks like a real rifle? Do you have a decent upper body strength? How much are you willing to spend?

But before you spend your money on a marker, get a good face mask first. In fact, spend as much as you can on a mask. Seriously.

It doesn't matter what type of game you prefer, be it speedball or woodsball. Paintball is paintball. I've seen speedball players play in the woods. Can't say the same for woodsballers in a speedball field though.

I'm a woodsballer. The only thing stopping me from playing in a speedball field is that I can't afford shooting too much paint. The most I can go is a 1000 pellets for the whole day. I've seen speedball players shoot 1000 pellets in one game. sweat.gif

As soon as I can afford getting a pump marker, maybe I'll give it a go. It's going to suck playing in a field full of electros, but what the hell.
