Are there still problems with the U2311H whereby colours on the left is cool, the right is warm or vice versa(can't remember
I'm planning to use it extensively for Photo Editing and this problem is very serious lol. And watching movies/surfing the internet also la This post has been edited by -kytz-: Dec 30 2010, 04:30 AM |

Can U2311H users enlighten me on the warm/cold colours on either side.Does this only happen if you are viewing your monitor from an angle NOT directly in front?

QUOTE(Racerx @ Dec 30 2010, 11:35 PM) mine's a REVA00.If within the x and y axis there's no colour shift .Plus my eyes can't detect any warm/cold colour gradient on the left and right side of the display. Thanks so it means there's no colour shift when you're facing the monitor directly(as in perpendicular to the monitor). How about when you view it from a larger viewing distance? If you view it off axis there's the IPS glow, the display becomes yellow/orange-ish if the background's black. And also, I only see colour shifts(in reviews) when they're testing the viewing angles. This post has been edited by -kytz-: Dec 30 2010, 11:40 PM |

QUOTE(Racerx @ Dec 30 2010, 11:44 PM) For your first question,i tried viewing it about 2 meters away [my room's small] and there's no colour shift. Thanks!! For your 2nd question, colour shift only occurs for me when it's viewed off axis,if within axis there's no colour shift even at extreme angles. However the brightness/contrast is slightly reduced though when viewed from extreme angles. I was pretty worried about the colour shifts because i'm planning to get it partly for photo editing as i'm doing photography Sow, now yea. I've decided already ! Time to start funding for it This post has been edited by -kytz-: Dec 31 2010, 12:25 AM |

I've only got a budget of around RM600 and that also, need to slowly fund for it. I definitely can't afford the higher end Ultra Sharp 24" or 27".
I'm deciding based on my budget and U2311H seems to be the best i can get? |

QUOTE(nocar @ Jun 12 2011, 11:42 PM) guys, Perhaps maybe the slower response time? That is resulting in ghosting when playing games Any shortcomings if I'm using a Full HD LCD TV as the desktop monitor? ... yeah it's a 24" LCD TV. The spec is here: http://www.toshiba.com.my/product/product_...roductid=24PS10 |

You get more workspace with 16:10 but when viewing movies of 16:9 ratio, you get the black bars lah. Even thicker black bars when viewing cinematic ratio(21:9)

QUOTE(wildwestgoh @ Aug 5 2011, 10:21 PM) I have asked before for dead pixels coverage, it's 6 total to get 1-on-1 exchange. if you have 5 dead pixels and 1 bright pixel then you're eligible, and even 1 bright pixel only is eligible. Need 6 dead pixels before can get 1 to 1 exchange? What is this??!! p/s: Anyone knows how to make a pixel bright? QUOTE(zerorating @ Aug 6 2011, 12:27 AM) rather than buying the expensive calibrator, better you just buy the pre-calibrated monitor (dell u2410 or better) It's about RM380 here from shashinki.com.those calibrator costs rm400 or above in ebay And also, a U2410 is about RM1699 |

So I'm guessing both produce very similar colours?
Btw, got quoted RM590 for the U2311H from Dell's sales team |
