IMO if you calibrate with your eyes only you're doing more harm than good ,unless of course you have a colorimeter icon_rolleyes.gif
so...theres no way at all!
where do i get a colorimeter?
wonder if they have it in my lab hmm.gif

service tag? wats tat?
btw, my monitor (u2311)got abit smelly(heat i think) >< is tat normal?
and wat i can do with the usb port beside monitor?
*
u mean heat(smokey) smell?
thats definitely not normal ohmy.gif
the usb ports at the side can be used as normal usb ports, to connect your thumbdrives and stuff. theres 4 usb ports, 2 at the side and 2 at the bottom.
use the cable given to connect the usb input to a usb port on your pc so all the ports on the monitor can be used.

guys, if I use a hdmi or a display port rather than the DVI, what advantage would it give?
the u2311h doesn't come with built in speakers or audio input, so in what way is the HDMI or DP gona help to carry audio? hmm.gif

guys, my friend has a dell st24** model!
he says when he uses his Belkin HDMI cable, he gets a better image compared to the DVI that comes with the monitor?
what do you think caused this?

mine doesn't have dead pixels also.
yesterday when I tested it, there was, what seem to be like a dead pixel at that time. Then, I realize its just some dust sticking on that part....cleaned it biggrin.gif

Can anyone provide some opinion on this Samsung 2333TN model?
looking for a good 22inch or 23inch monitor with sleek design or quality smile.gif
*
its a good lcd. was planning to get the 2433tn before i got my u2311h. samsung 2333tn and the samsung 2433tn produces nice colors. I'd say its great for normal use.

Then what the difference between U2311H and 2433tn?
*
u2311h uses an IPS panel instead....its better!
had an assignment for a subject last time.....>10 pages was on this part-types of panels!
u can read up on wikipedia or something.

another reason u should consider the u2311h is its flexibility....the stand allows you to position the display in virtually anyway thumbup.gif

the U2311H uses an eIPS,it's not as good H-IPS ones.Still better than TNs though brows.gif

Added on April 22, 2011, 6:09 pm
Compared to the U2311H,it's bigger.Other than that the U2311H is better. There's also the LG IPS236V,same panel as the U2311H but uses WLED backlighting and has a stupid stand [aka stand that can only adjust the tilting angle of the screen].Priced around RM575+
*
I wouldn't recommend the LG IPS236V. The design looks better than the u2311h but stand is rubbish and some how its display doesn't look as nice as the dell.

but personally, I dont see the use of a multi-touch monitor. Especially when it is 23". to touch the monitor, u'd have to be sitting close to it....to actually view, u'd have to be sitting in a relatively larger distance than what your hands can reach.

touch screen is only useful in smaller screen devices like hand phones, tablets, laptops...
