It is 41.12. I got it. You have to cut the base BCD into half. Lets call mid point of BC as T. So it will form a triangle ATD. AD is 8cm and TD is root of 84cm. Then, tan ATD = 8/(root of 84). Hence solve.

bcause ∠ABD not right triangle? and how u find TD is root of 84cm ?

(10^2 - 4^2) = 84cm

Both ABD and ACD are right-angled triangles as A is vertically above D and BD=CD=10cm. This shows that base BDC is an isosceles triangle. Thus you need to cut BDC into half to form a right-angled triangle so that you can obtain length of TD. Using TD as adjacent side and AD as the opposite side, you'll be able to calculate angle ATD.

I apologize if this sounds complicated and confusing, I advise you to sketch the triangles for better understanding. wink.gif

Which mean BDC is an isosceles triangle, to find the angle between ABC and BDC, I need to cut BDC to make a right triangle?
the angle between ABC and BDC is not ABD, is ATD?

Nope ∠ABC is not a right angle. Since A is vertically above D, therefore ABC has to be an isosceles triangle as well since BDC is already an isosceles triangle as BD is equal to DC.
