I'm having some graphical issues with Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2) after installing the latest Nvidia 266.58 drivers.

It's easier to see the problem than explain it. But here goes:
- Using high shader settings causes textures and models to glow white hot and/or crash
- With low shaders and low settings, surroundings seems to be obscured by some fog or mist

I wish I could roll back to previous drivers, but that would make Battlefield 2: Bad Company multiplayer unplayable because the latest drivers fix Punkbuster kicks.

asus a42jy-vx072 i5, my gf bought it few weeks back and we notice some weird thing about it, not sure if its normal or not.

We noticed the cpu usage and ram is jumped very high when we use WMP and the music started to jerk and move the mouse like lag abit lag abit.
This only happens sometimes, hard for us to bring back for warranty or trouble shoot.

Usually happens after we used it then turn off then later use it again..

Processes running is 83. Didnt install much stuff inside yet.

Cpu usage can go as high as 83% but idle is 0.5% and ram is always at 32% at idle.

Yes, it's a driver issue. Other people have posted on the Nvidia forums about it. But luckily I can still play the game, as long as I don't turn up the highest shaders settings.

As for the BF:BC2 Punkbuster thing, it's a known issue for people who use Nvidia Optimus laptops. It's only until the 266+ drivers were released that I finally managed to play multiplayer on ranked servers.

I think fraps does not reduce the captured fps..
There are a few games which have the option to show the framerate, i tried and it matches the fps that is shown by fraps...

How long do u guys think this 335M will last before it will be unable to withstand new games?...1 year?
