Yeah but the U41JF processor is the slower i5-460M with 2GB DDR3 RAM, with the same priced at RM2999, while the catalogue stated with 4GB RAM and i5-480M at price of RM2999. Hope can get either the better U41JF or the newer A43SV/A52JV.

If battery life is not an issue, better get the N43Jf for RM2699 which is same specs as U41Jf but It's the N series...

If the N43JF is i5-480M with 4GB RAM, might as well consider that model...but I will be bringing it overseas...so may consider the weight of the laptop. I would love to have the Asus A43SV or the U41JF within 1 or 2weeks time. If don't might as well stick with the model you suggested. Was the N43JF available in the market now?

yes it's with 4gb ram, comes with USB3.0 if I am not mistaken, have much better Audio quality also...

Not sure whether it's available or not, it's coming out around Jan-Feb, maybe u should call Asus to ask the exact date?

All my hardwork is paid off, hunting for PLL datasheet, learning how setFSB works and changing memory timing. Took me two weeks to understand those. This is the final result

Oh, typical Malaysian way of handling things...

Hmm, then can try asking the retailers in garage sales.. They'd be more than glad to help...

Temperature remains pretty much the same, 75C load when playing Starcraft 2 and GTA IV. But performance in Starcraft 2 increase dramatically from barely playable at medium 1280x720 to very playable 1366x768 High, GTA IV only increase about 2-5fps laugh.gif

Lol of course not. This laptop is not for experimenting. Its used for my study. This is just my nature to learn the hardware inside the things I buy. This time I won't mod the hardware part, just software. Although I have disassembled this laptop, the warranty is still there because the only warranty void sticker I see is on the CPU HSF

Can Any Asus A42JA users help me in posting a picture of it's graphic card ??

Go to Start and run "dxdiag" and take a pic on the display tab ...

I wanna make sure that Nvidia GC is shown there instead of Intel HD graphics

Thx ^^

There's no nVidia card on A42Ja, its using ATi....

Assuming you meant A42Jc/Jv, it will show Intel...

Asus N53: Specifications
OS: Win7 Home Premium
Screen: 15.6-inch 1366x768 pixels
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-520M (2.45GHz)
Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GT425M 1GB VRAM (3D vision ready)
Memory: 4GB Ram
Storage: 500Gb
Connections: N Bluetooth Mic, headphone out, VGA, 3.0 USB, LAN, eSata, Card reader
Optical drive: Blu-ray Combo, Blu-ray read only
Dimensions/Weight: 391x266x31/2.71kg

The specs for N43 about the same, just a 13inch and 15 inch difference. The B&O speakers are wonderful!

Disadv: they should have 120hz 3D led screens. instead of normal 60hz

besides that, are really good laptop for multimedia. very quite too

120Hz 3D screens are only useful for 3D. And if paired with something like a GT425M, it'll take a huge chunk of performance out of it.

The N43Jf has a i5-480M though.
