That was not a super long shot. Good goal though especially the technique involved in hitting the ball. For super long shots, see Ronaldo's against Porto or the infamous Seedorf goal for Real Madrid.

yeah, but both goals cant be the goal of the season since they are years ago..but great goals too..and we should appreciate the beauty =)

i just did as you mentioned, yea i remember that goal, good flash back.
ronaldo shot was a beauty but it did not went that deep into the top corner compare to pirlo one
but ronaldo struck his shot much harder, compare to pirlo me think,

i think both the shots were exact same distance, if not 1/2 a yard diff perhaps. Correct me if i am wrong,what i did was i measured using the line thingy at the field ...both shots were made 3 extra lines further after the penalty box,
so unless porto field is bigger it should be the same i guess.

seedorf that one no comment...keeper looks out of position, but still, good long shot.

I said it was a good goal if it was allowed but I did not say anything about beautiful...It doesn't necessarily be a beautiful goal to be goal of the year. I was touching that issue because it is what this thread's title about. Can't understand???
