I have a flysky transmitter which has a usb cable that connects to the trainer slot but when I try to use it it does not work for Phoenix R/C Pro Simulator. Is there a place where I can buy just the cable like this : http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/u...idProduct=20964Thank you This post has been edited by zacknistelrooy: Jun 13 2012, 10:33 PM

QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Jun 14 2012, 09:44 AM) are you using the "ehem" version of phoenix RC? if i'm not mistaken, phoenix RC uses a usb dongle(i think it came with the software package) to work with your transmitter. it won't work with cables. I bought just the cd from someone and not the dongle, I used that cable to program my transmitter in the computer so I assumed that it can be used for the flight simulator

QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Jun 14 2012, 11:34 AM) ah..ok, so that's the problem. you need the usb dongle. there are some china made clones that can work, but i dunno where to get them. the usb cable for your tx would work for most other sims, like realflight(may need an emulator) and aerofly. I tried aerofly too but it did not work This is how my cable looks http://www.buzzflyer.co.uk/Electric-RC-Hel...le/p-72-89-473/

QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Jun 14 2012, 12:23 PM) yup that's the same cable i use on my esky tx to hook with aerofly and realflight. had to use an emulator for realflight though. remember you have to map the channels correctly. some simple steps: 1. make sure the tx is detected by your OS as a joystick 2. configure the sim software to map the channels you'll be using. 3. test until you're satisfied. Did your computer automatically recognize it as a joystick or did you do something, I am using windows 7 Thank you

I am looking for a shop that sells Lipo Battery with warranty since the new one I bought just charges to 8.8V when it should be 11.1 V
Thank you

It is a 3 cell 1500mAh lipo battery, when I bought it, the shop guy did check it and it was alright I think but after a charge at home and when I used for my plane, I noticed that the motor wasn't at full speed so I tried recharging but it only goes to 8.8V.
This was the first time I had bought a battery so maybe it was a rookie mistake.
The shop said they don't provide replacements

QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Jul 3 2012, 04:27 PM) hmm....do you have those LED lipo batt checker(very useful) to check voltage per cell? or you could at least check with the shop to confirm what's wrong with the batt. any reputable shop would assist you on this. if the shop tested it before selling to you, it's unlikely that the batt is faulty to begin with, and lipos - although unstable, doesn't really go faulty on the 1st few charge cycle. something else must be wrong in-between. how does the batt look(physically), is it bloated? Yes it is bloated

QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Jul 3 2012, 05:07 PM) well it could be under/over charged at some point. i'm guessing a cell has failed (4.2v+4.2v+0.4v(failed cell)=8.8v). might wanna check that you charger is working correctly though. for the batt, bloated lipos are dead lipos. better throw away before it dies a flaming death. Well I charged another battery before and it was alright, unlucky. Thank you for your help Added on July 4, 2012, 11:18 amDo I need to charge a new battery.
