better there la.. coz nearer.. =) erm.. at what time aaa 8.00pm kick off? actually if they kickoff at 8pm as super league.. not practical enough.. too early.. espcially muslims that gotta to pray... summore jam from office.. aiyaaa
*
that's y lar. so inconvenient. those 2 alone wud b a big prob. if weekend, wudnt be that much. plus lots of ppl who are working at centre kl have to rush to go there. wud b another prob if got heavy raining. confirm jam.

they'd rather cater the need of the broadcaster as they had allocated the 8pm slot to the game. that was y it was brought forward to 8pm (starting time)

overall, i am pleasantly surprised at how the team played tonite.was vr diff than previous game back in bangkok where all of them are playing long balls n looked lost. might be bcos of crowd factor or pitch vr dry back in bangkok. well for the first 15-20 mins i thot they never learned as they were aimlessly throwing long balls at the singapore defence (taking the example of pepatah cuba sampai jadi laugh.gif). then they changed their game n play more short passes along the midfield n started to use all four midfields plus the 2 fullbacks which i am equally impressed with 2nite.

for me, msian deserve the win 2nite. only jz a lapse of concentration saw them equalize. i hope they continue this run of good performance. they indeed live up to the expectation of thousands in the stadium to perform well. let's c if they can bring the same lvl of performance to sgpore (which wud b hard as 2nite sgpore clearly going for draw whereas they'll b gunning for a win back in their turf).

wanna jz hug norizan coz he had the guts to bring out the lumpy nizaruddin before half-time interval. clearly non-existent (might jz say the whole tournament except for his wondergoal against phillipines).

eddy surprised me. turn up a good performance 2nite. hope it wont b at msia stadium oni.

glad that cheat got sent off.

y din i c fadzli shaari playing? is he that bad?

p/s: still not hoping that high coz i noe they'd alwez let down when the need comes. but tstill hope they cud dish out commendable performance (fighting spirit espc) in 2nd leg. biggrin.gif

We only have the possesion and not the goals.... U guys can see the players have a lot of ball possession but then unable to convert it into chances.... Well, possession didnt won u a match but goals are....  sweat.gif

Hope the next coach of Malaysia can address an attacking solution... coz from my view, when attacking, the Malaysian midfielders were always far behind from the strikers and the striker cant do anything bout it....  shakehead.gif

yup definitely. but i think it is a good start. having possesion of the ball n limit chances for opponents. if not msia are so afraid of holding or passing the ball short. they din wanna take risk. it is as if they r marked by john terry or vidic or sumthin.they jz put the ball long. at least they can say they are not making any fault. so no 1 shud blame them. they play safe oni.

nway, a bit of gud news is that away goals rule dont count in this tourney. so they shud not pressure themself to get the 1st goals as early as possible. need to soak n the pressure n compose themselves as sgpore r coming at them.

dam, if not for the function this saturday, i'd definitely travel down to sgpore give support. kalah xpe, but at least not tamely like against thailand the other day.

heh.. apparently so. for msia to actually score a goal is actually tough. to score 2 wud b almost wonderful surprise for them. anyway, got that info here.

A goal is a goal. what ever happens, we should have learn how to defend it. after our goal, we play as if we were leading 4 - 0. thats bad..as i said before, we let them sporeans players space to play which costed us.
hopefully history repeats itself, we beat them in their ground 4-0 before, and we'll do it again!!!! biggrin.gif
*
i beg to differ. i think that was the correct mentality. y shud they slow down? c wut happen to my fav team (ManUtd) the other day when they slow down? arsenal came back n score 2 goals in the last 10 mins.

what they did was correct. they din wanna sporeans to settle down n kept attacking the ball.even after msia goal, they weren't threatening our goal at all. jz that lapse of concentration coz they wanna make a change (khyril wanted to come on already). players are putting their hands up n sporeans jz played on without care. was a bit disappointing. but i'd applaud them. they tried to go for the kill (remember they are playing at kallang stadium nx) even tho they din achieve it. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

do they have open trials every years? it would be my dream to represent how good are malaysian players? is the league proffesional? do the players have jobs?

maybe singapore league is good for me too.
*
of course they do.. but usually during close season which is usually on november/december. they can do transfer at other times of the year, but usually they would only give trials to selected fews (one which they have heardabout or done research from).

it wud b good for them if u have msian citizenship as u are not included in the import quota. but 1 thing to be prepared is dun expect to earn lots amount of money in malaysia professional football (dunno about foreign players tho) or even same treatment as professionals in england for eg gets (remember tony cottee's case). it's all about heart playing in msia i think. a big desire to succeed (n maybe u're in national team sumday tongue.gif ).

Mr. Rocko, erm...i dont get what u mean really. I think ur point and mine are the same. I do agree that they should not slow down, but they did. and that what happens dude, we concede when we shouldnt.

cheers ppl!
*
biggrin.gif i think my point which differs than urs were that i din think after we scored we slowed down that much til we gave them the space to score. jz oni 1 time they lack concentration. other than that, it was ok. mebe i misinterpreted wut u meant by playing as if we were leading 4-0. i was jz disagreeing with u that msia approach it wrongly after we score 1st. i jz think that was the right approach to go with. smile.gif

anyway, that's the past. it wud b useless if the same spirited performance dun turn up in the next leg at kallang std..

p/s: was quite surprised to learn that singapore could onli beat msia narrowly (thru suddendeath penalties) during the 2 causeway challenge match last yr. with all those imports n hype surrounding them (plus msia on downward spiral), they'd steamrolld past us. gimme a bit of hope for an upset tongue.gif

Are the Singapore import foreign player like Ronaldo, Beckham or Lampard standard.... if yes,  i will be very very pround of our soccer team at least only lose in penalty kick...
*
of course no la. if they are of those standards, wud they even willing to play for sum1 elses country when they can play for their own. but we do expect singapore to perform at more higher level after this policy of taking foreign players. the policy was meant to elevate them to another notch. but seeing the match, not much difference. better use local product. at least can be proud, it is their own ppl that did it. the foreign players also not much diff than their locals.. so pay more but result still same. smile.gif

on another note, sloppy match. from both sides but sgpore might have been better at it. dunno if it is bcos of the pitch (wet n all that). a heartbreak for myself not to be able to go to std n give my support. i thot hairuddin wud b a good penalty taker. takkan another 7 mins pn x bole tahan.. doh.gif

concede pun another similar goal to the goal that they scored in the 1st semi. adoi.. but this time, no complaints bout it. like the saying goes; fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

cambodia la brader.. i wont care even if they have bigger margin victories against them.. dozens or two. we shudnt be comparing ourselves to them. if we are to move forward, we need to take on more quality teams n if we got sumthing from them, then we shud take notice.
