When you look at the malaysian team especially against mat salleh team, they look way,way,way too thin, short and fragile. How come we couldn't find a least 4 defenders and a keeper whos at least 6'2 with decent body size like say 80-90kg to effectively challenge for the ball? Takkan tak de????

its not only about physical size IMO. Anyway, thats the beauty of the national games - every country with different ethnicity /cultural background/ and obviously sizes playing each other, and trying to utilise their strength and cover their weaknesses. Japan and Korea do not have huge players. While they have not become regular world beaters, but they are constantly improving and proving themselves to be a competitive unit.
For the national team, sadly the one true problem has always been discipline and lack of self motivation of the players. |
