I'm jelly with some of you guys' cable management on the table. Since my work station also doubles as my streaming station, I have HDMI, power and audio cables running behind, quite messy. sad.gif

It's a 1080p Samsung 40" TV. Good thing they have PC mode so everything works just fine like a regular monitor.

first time i heard about 'PC mode'. im using Sony 32" 1080p, just plug and play, and it works like charm.
May i know what it means by PC mode? what settings they used to compatible with PC?

Without setting the input mode to "PC", there are color accuracy / shift problem, visual slightly blurry, and worst problem is alignment / fitting not perfect - screen will "overfill", where the top is slightly cut out. No amount of software settings or calibration in Windows can fix this.
Changing it to PC mode and everything will be perfect. There is no additional setting / value to see - we simply change the HDMI input mode to "PC" (among the selection list of various devices).
This mode preset do not affect other calibration setting (such as brightness, contrast, sharpness, etc), so you can still adjust those calibration separately.

However that setting isn't very obvious... It burried inside "Support" section of the menu and called "Edit Name". rclxub.gif
Of course this only apply to Samsung model, software for different brand may be different.

Some small improvement from my previous setup.

Adding mouse pad for my workstation with Corsair MM200 Gaming Mouse Mat (Extended ver). The material for the mouse pad quite soft and really good - my mouse easy to move around.

Cutting a hole on the mouse pad for the cables. Then manage and tie the cables with cable tie.

Final setup. biggrin.gif
