yikomaru, no worry. regardless of what type of toys, it doesn't meant for girl or boy. Who care such a conservative perception as long as you love toys?

You can have Pullip or Taeyang for collection and you will discover the great fun behind these dolls as we are. We customize our own dolls, taking photograph and etc...

You can check out these dolls at www.pullip.net for your first dolls. we have posted some info at the previous few pages. you can check around for more understanding of choosing your dolls.

We always welcome newbies to join our family.

Yikomaru, you are right. I suggested that you get the Pullip or Taeyang doll which the price range from RM250 - RM350 for beginner.

Some dolls are collaboration and some are limited edition, so the price also differ. Why so? it's because they have the value of collection and re-sell value.

you can always check on the toymalaysia.com or ebay.com or other sources for the best offer comparison. For your information, these dolls are expensive hobbies, so better get few sources to compare.

You can always ask the members which is the best price to purchase at certain dolls. They are more willing to help out. We go for bulk purchase as well sometime coz it cheaper.

Yikomaru, welcome to our thread... Yeah.. I am agreed with Silverfilato and TeddyLoveTales, Collecting dolls nowaday is not only meant from children and girls.... thera are many male collectors in the world.... It is a kind of hobby, is not only meant for Collection, but also a space for you to get to know new friendship, learn new skill, socialize, exchange knowledge and experience...

In fact, in our group, there are quite balance number between male & female.. we have collectors who are couple also... If you are beginner to collect dolls and feel a bit shy to start with a girl doll... then I can recommend you start with Male doll such as Taeyang.. You can also customize your Dal to male character as well.. Actually, Taeyang can be turned out to be a very cool action figure.. you can choose some Japanese Anime Series Chacrater, such as Taeyang Rayne, Sebastian etc.. Then, some other new Taeyang dolls released recently also cool... Such as Taeyang Wayne (Police), Arashi (Ninja)....

As a beginner, in term of buying your first doll, you must choose it carefully, find the right style of dolls you want.. This dolls got many chacrater, style, personality, appearance.. Choose the one you like as your first doll... You can come here to get advice from the group member.. there will recommend you where can grab the reasonable price dolls... there are many sellers outside; there have different type of transaction and service.. If you are new, you may not so undertand the market value of the dolls... if you want a transparent price on the dolls... you can check on Toymalaysia.com and Pullipstyle.com (US).. they are realiable sellers because most of us have purchased online from there before.. For local retail shop, you need to negotiate the right price if you know about the market price..

Hope you can grab your first doll and join us together!! Welcome..!!

yea agreed to silver, teddy and dan, but another point is u may need treat them as your kids which u help them dress up, set hair, take photos, look at them when mood so so then u will find out the differences between with doll and without doll... summary is it will be same as u having ur pet...

first doll is also very meaningful for u to start ur collection so choose the one really like it and start ur journey.....haha

Clara is sweet and oriental look due to her dark hair... Tiphona is more western look... You have a good choice.. both of them are nice pullip.. but also hard to find and expensive nowaday... If you like Clara, I also recommend you Chloi.. hehehe.. she is my favorite too..

Today I have grabbed some 1/6 action figure outfit for my Taeyang at Fleat Market.. Price reasonable.. cheaper than Ken dolls Clothes at Toy r Us.. Because it is action figure outfit.. so there are more detailed than fashion doll clothes like ken doll... some more branded one... ADIDAS.... hahahahaha... tongue.gif

Clara is the Carnival Doll 2010 Pink Rabbit. I don't think she is come with Ponytail... Do you mean the rabbit ear on her head? if yes, that is her hairband... can be removed from the hair.... The doll not only can untie the hair.. you also can change the whole original hair to other color wigs.. it will be very flexible.. but of course not every style or color of wig will match to your doll face up. That's why you need to know what style of like on your doll face up... is she looks sweet/mature/punk, contemporary/classic, western/oriental, skin color in fair/pale/white/tan... bla bla.. this all will based on your personal favorite.. different people got different taste..

Oh... you know knitting also?? if yes, finally found a guy who is interested to knit also.... I have just started learn on knitting about few months ago. I have learnt thru books... I have tried many type of needle such as no.2,4,6,8... But I prefer using no.2 although it is taking more time.. this is because needle no.2 can knit out the clothes finer than others.... it will look more proportion to the doll scale..

i know how to knitting and crocheting all along heehee, just wanna know which needle you use, coz i think my 8mm needles only can use to knit human beanies and scarfs hehee.

do you use open ended needles (4 needles) or the round needle( the one with a plastic wire attached at the end of 2 needles) to knit ur dresses/hats?=)
