I noticed Win7 hibernation and resume function having bugs in it. XP does not have this resume bugs. Vista resume is slow but if not mistaken, does not have Win7 resume bugs.
I have tested on diff notebooks / netbooks..all having problem resuming windows back to working condition. After resume back, it does not restore back original desktop setting and the whole system become slows. Even on high end notebook like A42Ja with 6GB RAM.
One thing I notice too. Recent years notebook (HP and Asus that I'm using) does not keep on charging battery. Once the battery is full, it will stop charging. It will start charing once the battery level drop below 95%.
I have an old HP notebook, DV5000 series. After 4 years, battery still can last 1 hour if not mistaken (need to test it out again to confirm). I never take out the battery and the AC adaptor always connect to the notebook.
The question is the battery quality..how good/long it can holding the power before drop below 95%.

QUOTE(putochip123 @ Nov 24 2010, 01:58 PM) Nowadays most of the laptop using lithium cell, so it will discharge itself even though u didnt plug in the battery or use thr battery. So the 95% u mention is depends on how many xell battery or the maximum capacity of the battery. Is dependent variable, which we can give a constant answer. Where ur laptop a42ja isnt high end laptpp, just a mainstream. My alienware/ desktop serve me well even i hibernate , after resume the desktop i test the benchmark still working like charm. For the bug i did notice where some of the program cant really working well after hibernate ok, noted (btw, high end notebook for me (i7 CPU) as my low end notebook (umpc) is pentium mobile CPU) btw, can you do the following hibernation / resume test? once the notebook go into hebernation, do not resume immediately. Resume after two days. Let me know if it will resume back and work properly or not. Normally, resume immediately after hibernation does not have problem. It is resume after one or two days hibernation then it give problem. XP does not have such issue as I have one system with dual boot: XP and Win7 and the same programs installed. Btw, i have wireless USB mouse connected to the notebook during hibernation/resume. This post has been edited by peterscm: Nov 24 2010, 06:18 PM

QUOTE(verdangilte @ Nov 24 2010, 02:57 PM) but why need to use resumer after two days ?? normally a few hours .. or maximum should wont more then 24 hours... b'cos sometimes need to be away for one to two days (travel) without using that particular notebook (as I use more than one notebook ).
