Will I damage my laptop battery if let's say I plug in my battery to my laptop while at the same time using my adapter to power my laptop?
Will my laptop battery get damaged due to overcharging ?
Reason is because in case of any black out, my laptop battery will be able to power my laptop if there is a power surge.
Please help

QUOTE(maelzx @ Nov 11 2010, 02:29 PM) i bought new laptop (well not new, just one month old) i never unplug battery .... at home always use wall plug. after 1 year battery life decrease from 3 hour to 2 hour (best stretch) now after 3 years can last maybe 30 minutes ... lol. (already bought new battery now can last 3 hours++) my friend who practice unplug the battery after 3 years also same condition as me ... can last maybe a little bit longer around 45 minutes ... so up to you lah I guess batteries degrades overtime as they age

My laptop is like 3 weeks old only but according to CPUID, my wear level is at 3%, is this normal or they sold me fake batteries?
