Dear all,

I'm not a girl...I plan to buy a set of skin care product for my gf...could u girls please advise me which brand is recommended?

My gf's face has acne/pimple problem (not too serious), some minor black spot (mayb due to walking under the sun? coz every weekends we will bring our dog for walk at the evening, 5-7pm), and some skin pores (duno if i name this right?)...

I'm sad to see her worry about her face everyday... sad.gif

So i plan to get her a set of good skin care product so that her face can be getting better...

My budget for a set is around RM600-800, possible to get good set of skin product with this budget?

Appreciate for any suggestion from you all...

i oso wonder if those specialist work; they might just be "guessing" what's affecting one's skin.... tongue.gif

btw, if there are acne, try to reduce moisturiser and oil based make up (e.g. liquid foundation)

smile.gif my skin is getting better, i think, i used retin-a gel for the treatment....hope it will be better and i don't have to see a specialist biggrin.gif

if acne, maybe is because of sensitive skin.

Buy brand with range to control the sensitive first, the black spot make it after.

You may try skinfood's tea tree, which can control oil, reduce pores. Consult from the promoter for more information. It helps a lot of my friends with sensitive skin also.

However, some ppl dont like the smell. It would better if you bring your gf along. Anyway, try to reduce make up as well, because makeup will block the pores and cause acne.

Hope this can help you.

Anyway, your budget is way too high. For skin food range, whole set included cleanser, cleansing milk, moisturizer, toner, serum.. doesnt cost you much either.

try dr. ci:labo. one moisturizer does it all. so, basically, after washing her face, just apply that moisturizer is enough as that moisturizer has toner, skin brightener, beauty serum and etc... 5 in 1. this moisturizer is super hydrating and it is call aqua collagen super moisture. and don't forget to apply sun block after the moisturizer. that will help to prevent any more dark spots while treating it. they do come with acne series as well and it's call acneless range. you can get their counter at isetan klcc. this brand is a japanese brand btw.

based on your budget, i will suggest you to buy their cleanser and the moisturizer. cleanser is RM99 and moisturizer is RM142 for small tub and RM283 for big tub. it's in gel version. non greasy too. sun block for morning care.. if you want to use theirs too, it's priced at RM117 and RM132 respectively. the difference between the 2 prices is just the number of SPF. one is higher and one is lower. if your gf is make up user, then she needs to use make up remover. theirs super cleansing EX is RM106. this is in gel version; however once comes into contact with our skin, it will turn into oil to remove the make up on our face and also the sunblock that we have used. however, make up remover, i prefer the brand next to theirs, which is call HABA. their latest product, micro cleansing force, is a water based make up remover cleanser and you don't have to do double cleansing after. comes in 2 sizes. small bottle is priced at RM38? kinda forgot the price and big bottle is at RM112 if i am not mistaken.

many times, when our skin is sensitive, there are certain ingredients in those products or cosmetics can make it worst. both of these brands that i have mentioned (Dr ci labo and HABA) are fragrance-less and free from harsh chemicals such as paraben, mineral oil and etc. both brands are japanese brands.

good luck!
