Great news. Hopefully Carrick is fit to start as well if SAF is planning on playing him.

Respect the guy. notworthy.gif Love him to bits especially when you can see tears in his eyes sometimes in that vid. The interviewer asked him about what SAF said to him or how did SAF motivate him when he's only name as a sub, and Solskjaer said that SAF explained to him the reasons why and whatnot for 45mins before a semi final, and it meant a lot to him. But that he missed a chance in that game(probably), and it still haunts him till today. Wonder which game that was?

We were lucky to have him. He had so much respect for SAF and people in general in the way he behave and react to things. He said a lot of stuff about SAF too that probably most people still don't know about. The way SAF treats people.. that's important especially with big egos all sitting together at the same table. It's going to be a mountain trying to replace SAF when the time comes. Hope we strike lucky again like we did years back with SAF. And like SAF first few steps, it won't be perfect.

Sheep's magic works! Woohoo!
Instead of a 5+ goals, Chelsea only managed 1.
Sheep.. we are forever in your debt.

Chelsea will win. But if Sheep put his magic avatar and siggy on still, it'll be 1-0 again. GD will make a massive difference and Sheep is helping us keeping it low!

I guess Rio must have lost a bet or something to wear like that, or he's just fooling around.

just read about Blackpoo thatl made 10 changes to their squad before facing Villa..Now if they were against ManUtd and did that surely will cause some media outburst against us and Holloway getting fined like Mick McCarthy back then..just because it was Villa then this case basically evaporated..just shows the double standards they have
*
Their manager threatened to quit the club if he/the club is fined over that. It's ridiculous. He should be able to do what he wants, especially if he thinks it's in the best interest of his club to do so, even if it means fielding a really weak side.

i think we r short of squad depth. the growing injury list didnt help either. plus rooney not on top form even when he is back soon.. som one need to be a hero against vila, like park vs wolves and chicha vs stoke
*
We are fine depth wise. It's the availability that hurts.

Available
VDS
Wes-Rio-Vida-O'Shea
Nani-Carrick-Fletcher-Park
Berbatov-Hernandez

Subs + those not available..
Kuszczak
Rafael-Evans-Smalling-Evra
Valencia-Scholes-Hargreaves-Anderson-Giggs
Rooney

Owen, Macheda, Gibson, Obertan, Bebe, Fabio, Gary

Natural left footer since we have two very good and potentially on the verge of becoming greats RW. Bale for me.

Added on November 13, 2010, 7:42 pmWould balance out Nani nicely. A Valencia out on the left. biggrin.gif

I will become gay for you Sheep!
Now let me kiss you! tongue.gif

After a sort of a miserable time for us(another bloody draw and poor performance before we scored!), it was great to see Chelsea's result.

And Welbeck had a good game huh? Didn't watch it, but people say he does. Bodes well for the future. Him and Macheda, along with Hernandez. Winger cum forward. huhu.. that left side might just be his.

Might want to refresh the page. I just uploaded it at the time.

Watched the first half. He, and the whole side to be fair, was playing good football. Good touches, passing, movement, and they always have a man available. Him being MOM says a lot about his performance that day. Was really good. Held the ball up well, good link up, threatening.. complete package. What he lacks in predatory/penalty box instinct, he more than makes up for it with an outstanding all round play. He's a really good dribbler.

oo 2 new gks relacing each other....lagi x logik...to bring one is at least the possible thing but 2, i highly doubt this news piece.whos going to warm the bench??amos alone??laugh.gif

at the best i think we can forget both of them "for now".
*
It could be that way since VDS might retire and Kuszczak would want to be a first choice, if not with us, somewhere else. I always view Lindergaard as a Kuszczak replacement but I have no idea how he plays. Maybe SAF and the scouts know better. We'll soon see. I hope VDS stays for one more year in a backup kinda role and we should just chuck the new guy in and see how he does.

QUOTE(alienLYN @ Nov 19 2010, 10:56 PM)
As much as I am proud and enthusiastic on our tradition on bringing up young players, i believe the GK position is not 1 to be "experiment" , much so looking at the age of VDS. We already failed once with Foster, I think what we need is someone trusted and ready to come in straight away.

The gamble may pay off, but if not. The cost of the "experiment" would be our title.
*
I agree with you, but then we have to remember Barthez. And we have to think.. who could we buy out there that is good, at the right age and available? There is no sure thing regarding the GKs unless we get a once rated as one of the best in the world, but for one reason or another become available at a cheap price and have tons of experience like VDS or just strike gold like we did with the Big Dane. Another option is that someone would set a new account and manage Liverpool/Inter/Real Madrid and sell us their star GK in exchange for Diouf which wouldn't happen in a million years. Even Benitez won't be that stupid.. oh wait. Alonso for Barry. laugh.gif We could get Buffon.. but he's having troubles with injuries, and considering his age, not sure if that's a good thing for us.

There's no chance for us to get Casillas and Reina(Liverpool.. enough said).. the same with Hart(City). Julio Cesar would cost a lot.. and interestingly enough, he couldn't get a game at Chievo for half a season. Brought in as understudy to Toldo, and soon established himself as the #1 in his first season at Inter. Doubt many knew who he was back then. Lloris, Neuer, Adler, De Gea all are still young. Lloris and Adler seems to make lots of mistakes. There's still question mark regarding Neuer and De Gea. Unproven. Same with Lindergaard really.

I have absolutely no idea really. None of us do. If even SAF is finding it hard to guess it right regarding GKs with the amount of information, background check, tons of videos and reports about he can feed on, what hope is there for us? If SAF and the scouts and coaches thinks he's the next man, so be it. We'll judge it for ourselves when the time comes. If it works out, good. If not, on to the next one.

i gotta agree wif wat the legend has to say on my last post. take a look at this:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

kucak is 2 years older than this gaard fler oni. wat's the point?? i dont even-  doh.gif
*
The question now is who that GK with tons of experience that we can realistically get. There's not many of them, and all are already at big clubs.

Kuszczak doesn't want to be a #2 anymore. It's obvious he won't be the next #1 after VDS. Good shot stopper and a reliable backup, but we need more to take over from VDS. Considering the rumours about VDS retiring, we might just view this signing as a new #2 with an outside chance of becoming our #1 if we get lucky. He would jump at the chance even if he would not play much. And then there's still the rumours about that Van De Gea fella.

QUOTE(Envoy @ Nov 19 2010, 06:43 PM)
is it confirmed that we sign lindegaad or it just rumors?
*
Confirmed we are talking with his club negotiating a deal. Should be done next week I guess.
