it's called "How long does it take to heal" or something like that. Either way, it'll hurt for about a week or so, go on some antibiotics - not a lot of blood goes to that part of the ear so you do NOT want an infection

well then go through life falling ill and not taking medication then. if you're afraid of infection, you would take the necessary precautions and go get some over-the-counter antibiotics!

hopefully you'll know how to take care of the new one better than you did the old one. lay off seafood for a week and take some antibiotics if you're that afraid of an infection. oh, and don't let anybody hit it

does it matter if it inconvenienced me? I tell everybody who wants to get a cartilage piercing or everybody who got a cartilage piercing that it takes two weeks to heal and about a month or so to FULLY heal ... and you bloody went and took the stud out after a week. Padan muka.

Now you're going to be piercing scar tissue, which will hurt even more. Padan muka again.

Also, yes, in this case, I AM smarter than you are. I do research before I start doing shit to my body.

there can be many reasons for not being able to conduct a tiny bit of research. I said time cos I find it most likely. When you're working, you don't get online for personal usage. and maybe no internet at home? It's Malaysia, Not the entire Malaysia's connected yet. AND streamyx has been up to some no good. They kept resetting connections when they detect certain speed.

time could also mean that she had a time frame to get piercings. for religion, tradition or a job(actress/dancers to look the part they're playing). Jumping to conclusions without solid points is simply not credible.

Anyway, my point was to stop personal attacks. In no part was anyone provoking you. Stick to the issue.

Warm sea salt solution soaks ftw. Fill a shotglass with warm sea salt solution (table salt won't do) an soak your piercing in it. Make sure the sea salt used to make the solution has no anti caking agents or any other funky additives in it. 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt + 1 cup of warm distilled/boiled water = sea salt solution.

By the way, cartilage piercings take around 3-6 months to fully heal >_< . Not 2 weeks.

Just a side note, NEVER get gun piercings, especially gunned cartilage piercings. It can shatter the cartilage + piercings guns aren't autoclaved so they're not sterile ~_~ = HELLO INFECTION!!!

Also unnecessarily taking antibiotics without any real reason and/or knowledge of the type of antibiotic/dose/therapy duration needed promotes resistance dry.gif.

ask around? there are plenty of tattoo and piercing specific forums online and if you can get on LYN (if internet's not working, how did she get on?), there are specific threads on here too. there is no excuse for "no time for research". Personal attacks? I don't attack her specifically, I attack people in general who do stupid things when there is so much info around here. Never said anybody was provoking me either. Some mod you are.

You know what they say: A stupid man learns by making the mistakes, a wise man learns by seeing others' make the mistake - and there was another girl asking about piercings in this very forum too.

@shinryu and you obviously know what you're talking about when you say not to use the gun on the cartilage.

Haiya, not everyone is the same mar.

My lil bro pierce the exact place with TS and he took off asking me to help to replace the ear ring with some stick.
I tried hard to poke inside and it didnt work so I just ask him to put back the ear ring.

If I didnt tell him, for sure he wont know lo and doesnt mean he's stupid also mar.
This world got so many things and we cannot be know EVERYTHING in this world so we cannot be call as stupid also.

Even last time I pierced my tongue and my ear, i never did any researching also.

Ear is fine just kinda pain when I sleep or hear calls but my tongue the first day I pierced I already tersangkut when I was eattin lotus root.

Walao the PAIN, I dont know how to say ! But it ok already la just got scar on my tongue.
Took off already bcuz my mom dislike and the scar will be the memory of my tongue piercing smile.gif

doh.gif doh.gif you obviously have too much time in your hands to not see how time can be a constrain. You did not attack her personally? You specifically replied to her post. You're either too huge in denial or simply too arrogant to think you could get away.

Haha, so you're one to go with the norm? Since 'they' say stupid ppl learns by making a mistake, that makes it alright for you to call others stupid when one make a mistake? And how does a 'wise' man learn without 'stupids'? Funny how you take quotes without understanding underlying meanings.

Why have a forum if a simple search online can get you all the answers in the world? If there's another girl's looking for answers in a forum, did you direct her to the right existing thread? Did you report the thread with similar topic? Did you help them? You are no different than other users that cry damnation on others but do not help them repent nor guide them.

Nice one.

And I believe everyone did mistakes before from the day we borned smile.gif
Sayin ppl stupid instead of helping them, just like if I scold my bro stupid for tryin to replace the ear ring to stick and not help/guide him,
isnt helping tho.

Stop it, spunkberry, you dont go around calling other people stupid just because they didn't do what "the way YOU think how it should be done".
If you have nothing to contribute, flaming/dissing others isnt accepted.
