I recently got back from Singapore and auditioned the Dynaudio Focus speakers there. I can tell you I was totally hooked with the clarity it produce but the demo wasn't so good since was in an open environment powered by a high end pioneer receiver.

I'm thinking of upgrading to the Dynaudio Focus but am wondering if there is going to be a major difference in terms of sound quality in my current setup. I need some help from sifu here to decide. I currently have a dedicated room for my home theater with the current set up.

2) Yamaha RXV 3800 receiver
3) Wharfadale Diamond 9.6 - fronts
4) Wharfadale Diamond 9.1 - Side
5) Wharfadale Diamond 9CM - Center
6) Whatfadale Diamond DFS - Rear
7) SVS PB12-NSD - subwoofer

Planning to change my front and center to Dynaudio Focus. Let me know if I will be able to hear significant difference... thanks.

Thanks for the input. I was impressed with it for its imaging and clarity. The bass was also pretty outstanding especially when I auditioned their contour bookshelf speakers. I should have 300 watts driving 4 ohms so I don't think power will be the issue.

Anyone have any other impressions on Dynaudio?

Hard to do this since most audio shop won't have the same setup as mine and they will definitely not lug the speakers to my house for me to audition it unless you know someone who will do it?

That's what people have been telling me... no contest. But how significant the improvement I guess its up to the listener.

Wow Confidence C2 are lovely speakers. They are even beautiful to look at.

What would you recommend for strictly movies? Looks like the Audience could already meet my requirements.

I'm very happy with it. I think for its price, there are no comparisons. I actually upgraded from a Wharfedale 250 but that was no match for the SVS. Becareful that it might get a bit boomy in small rooms. My home theater is in a 17' by 15' room and it rattles my door during action scenes.

My sub is also turn down quite a lot so that I don't get the boominess but I still feel it enough to know its there.

I manage to sell it of to my friend before I got the SVS. Trust me, the wharfadale doesn't even comes close the "coffee table". That's what my friend calls my SVS... cause its humungous.

Haha... good thing I had friends to help me carry the behemoth. I was also shocked with the size when I first saw it. But then again, you could double it up as a coffee table. Just make sure you don't have any cups on it when playing transformers 2 or U571
