She is still too young to understand.  You have to slowly train her as she grows so that she realizes that she won't get her way by crying.  Babies are very smart; give in to them once and they know that they could get their way.  Maybe when she reaches 12 months she could understand better then you have to be firm with her.

It is never easy to train and reprimand your kids with grandparents around.  They always feel that we are not doing it the right way and theirs is always better.  Maybe you could place her somewhere near you so that you could talk to her as you perform your chores or play some music and sing to her.

the parents and grandparents should try to come to an agreement on how to care for the baby. at first the baby will cry a lot, maybe because she is not carried around as much any more, but it should clear up.
