about the gps thingy fix, i found something.
well not sure it helps or not, it supposed to have effect on agps, but who knows right use root explorer. go to system/etc/gps.conf long click it and open with texteditor you will see something like this. north-america.ntp.pool.org replace that line with from here: http://www.pool.ntp.org/zone/asia you can choose to use asia.ntp or just use malaysia one, they say it faster for the server to get the gps server. but i dont notice anything yet, not trying to compare though busy with other things. |

QUOTE(guppy @ Nov 12 2010, 06:49 PM) Thanks for the patronizing tone. But on JM8 with the same setup (3G enabled, etc), I was getting better mileage from a single charge. I'm basing my expectations off my experience with Eclair. If this is what's considered normal for Froyo, sure, I can live with it. I just needed to know that this is within normal power consumption parameters. caliibrate your batteryAnd hell no, it's ridiculous to have spent this much money to just use 2G. That's crap and you know it. |

QUOTE(guppy @ Nov 13 2010, 11:31 AM) When you say calibrate my battery, do you mean I should wipe battery stats? If so, how would that improve power consumption rate? it doesnt improve consumption rate, it just tell the phone the right amount of battery level,so your phone doesnt show 10% when the actual pwer is 40 or 30, and it wont go kaput so easily This post has been edited by silentser: Nov 13 2010, 12:37 PM |

QUOTE(daryl020189 @ Nov 14 2010, 01:36 PM) no 1 answer me yet...if i factory reset my phone...will the lagfix also gone? there is a lagfix in the market..if i uninstall it means the lagfix is gone? 1. yes, it will gone, for a moment. cause it will have no apps, so no memory hogging by apps2. if you uninstall the lagfix? erm..... is this a trick question? Added on November 14, 2010, 2:37 pm QUOTE(nasrulbond @ Nov 14 2010, 01:39 PM) yep it will gone. yes there are tons of lock screen replacement.Added on November 14, 2010, 1:40 pmguys, is there anyway to change the stock lock screen without modifying the rom? well, one thing that i noticed boring with this phone is the lock screen. widget locker, goto , and some few more i forget the name. but the best is widget locker. widget locker can change the lockscreen to HTC slide, Froyo slide, MOTO slide, Rotary (like old school phone dialer the round thingy), IPhone This post has been edited by silentser: Nov 14 2010, 02:39 PM |

QUOTE(daryl020189 @ Nov 14 2010, 03:03 PM) means there is an app icon of the lagfix ? sorry i duno abt lag fix and won dare to install it...scare after install later cant update to froyo yupe, if you download it from market will get an icon, no lah, using any lagfix wont disable the update ability but do remember to unlagfix it when you want to update, just to avoid any problems, dont worry if you forget about it, it just a precaution, it wont damage the phone or anything. |

QUOTE(holypredator @ Nov 14 2010, 02:58 PM) Alright alright calm down guys... hihihehe will never admit his own personality ... it never was anything againts him but he is just a butthurt fanboy that had to give his fanboy reaction...so lets just move along .. haha what you expect from a leak website, it all depends on rumor.@mengshun With JG4 firmware using the water livewallapaper.... the wallpaper crashes very often and goes into black screen when you run heavy application or sometimes even just by changing windows.... it seems to happen randomly but i would say its quite often .... I thought it was just me but ive check with many other SGS user with official JG4 firmware that faces the same problem too.... Other live wallpaper doesnt seem to have the effect though... Another bug that ive got to mention is the Music Player bug .... when you endtask the music player while playing... the program will close from task manager... but when you pull out the headjack ... the music player would appear at task manager and running at background again for some reason .... again... it happens randomly ... its not a big deal or anything .. but its still a flaw... As i mentioned, iPhone 4 gave me a better out of the box eperiance because it did not have those GPS nonsense and laggyness.... SGS is just rediculous when running nimbuzz and certain apps that it would freeze... and an overall laggy experiance .... Back to the topic.... i guess we aint getting froyo this week as what samfirmware had stated.... im starting to realize samfirmware is realy an undependable source ..... although its not an official samsung affliates... they would always announce update like they are assure to be happening... well if we follow the schedule it should be before 30/11, just have to keep on holding to that. |
