Ok, just need some quick words of advice, difficult to find the answer from the 6 threads!

I applied the early version of RyanZa'a OCLF (dl from xda-developers). It's working fine, but now, with the coming soon of froyo, my question is:

a) Do I need to uninstall the OCLF before I flash the new firmware?
b) If I do, well I'm buggered, because I don't seem to be able to do so. The later versions of OCLF will not uninstall my older version. I've seen advice to backup my internal SD, then format it and reboot. Will that work?

Help please...
*
You can remove OCLF by flashing new firmware through ODIN, but your apps and data will be gone, but Internal SD and External SD is not touch.

anybody using handcent sms? i feel the "delete thread" button is very very dangerous being place there.. anyway to remove that button?
*
Don't think it can be remove besides the developer himself.

It will prompt you a confirmation before delete anyway, just don't press too quick biggrin.gif

change modem will get better battery life?
*
Yea, it will improve your radio Signal and spend less time searching for signal.

Heard that JPD modem is the best for now (Its on Doc's thread, use CWM flash as well)

I'm testing it now, seems to be better than JPO modem

Basically is related to signal strength, for wifi, radio, and stuff. Nothing graphical.

Hey guys, how to disable/uninstall task manager in SGS? Or how to manually kill running in background apps?
*
If you're rooted, go market download autokiller, its a memory(ram) management app, don't need to kill apps anymore.

QUOTE(kkm @ Nov 10 2010, 10:22 PM)
But do I need to remove OCLF to flash another firmware such as froyo (especially as I plan to use Kies)?
*
No don't need to remove OCLF, only voodoo needs to be removed before flash new firmware

Yup, you advised me before and I use autokiller now. But when I play ram-intense games and multitask, my launcher pro gets killed. Then when go back home screen, it lags for 10 seconds for launcher pro to start up again. I don't want it to kill launcher pro when I multi task. How ah?
*
Yea because your settings for Autokiller is abit too high, so it killed launcherPro when the system needed ram. Lower the value, i think strict is fine

i jz disable my lagfix from the ULF menu, then i jz flashed via the sdcard in CWM, then apply my lagfix again.

Again, wonder anyway to tell the different for Hardcore speedmod vI1.2-250 and YA-OK.

Downloaded YA-OK, tempted to flashed it via odin hee... since it is OC 1.2GHz  hee...
