I was late! it is already V7!! Congrats!

By the way, having problem running Papago X5.... Unsupported resolution 480x800....
*
Using *ahem* version?

Your installation of Papago X5 is not complete. There are quite a number of folders/sub folders which define the screen resolution. See if you have them.

About PapagoX5 latest maps for Malaysia and Singapore; how to update the latest maps I downloaded from Malfreemap site? It is a *.exe file, about 150Mb and there is no instruction given.

Sorry I never update a GPS map before.
*
Make sure the latest maps from MFM supports Papago X5 for our device. Last I checked (a couple weeks back) there still aren't any new maps for Papago X5 on our device.

Does galaxy s have auto focus during video recording?mine seem does not have auto focus..
*
Yes it does. It's fully auto, meaning there's nothing you can do about it. Unlike iphone4's, you have touch focus. cry.gif

sorry if i offended anyone in my last post..

But thats who i am and thats what my thoughts on SGS.,...
Im not like most people here that would be protective and prejudice just because they own a SGS ...
Im equal and fair when it comes to product.... if the product does not satisfy me ... i would voice it out ... instead of finding ways to protect it ....
And overall... i felt that iphone 4 gave me a better out of the box experiance  hmm.gif  hmm.gif
Now i know why even with that extreme hardware and "proclaimed" features and software would not beat iPhone 4 ....
*
Of course, that's the whole point Apple made it. DON'T mod the phone. wink.gif

iPhone 4 is impressive actually; the build quality, the camera, speakers and screen is a vast improvement from iPhone 3GS. Not that I don't think you're right, but everyone has different expectations.
*
Agree! I think it's a great improvements over iphone3gs.

Super screen resolutions, superb built quality and premium finishing.

I don't understand why people keep complaining that it's not much improvements over 3gs. Even now they have "multitasking" on the iOS4, which is a neat feature already. Aside from the minor nitpicking, there really isn't much to complain about. biggrin.gif

Hey guys, watch this. Can we record 300fps too?

I doubt it, since this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=838517
*
The video looks fake? Interpolated in-between frames to make it 300fps perhaps?

There won't be any sorts of motion blurring at 300fps shots, unless you are video taping a bullet. biggrin.gif

Other live wallpaper doesnt seem to have the effect though...
Another bug that ive got to mention is the Music Player bug .... when you endtask the music player while playing... the program will close from task manager... but when you pull out the headjack ... the music player would appear at task manager and running at background again for some reason ....

again... it happens randomly ...  its not a big deal or anything .. but its still a flaw...
*
It's not a bug, but more like a feature. Mine is like that as well, whenever you plug/unplug the earphones. If only I could disable that "feature", which is quite annoying to not see a "telur" on my Task Manager widget. tongue.gif

Another issue on my phone is the Web Browser which doesn't terminate properly.

But I can still live with these la.

Is there any Task Manager for iphone4? I wonder how many programs are running in the background that the users aren't aware of... laugh.gif

any1 using earphone with mic for Galaxy S?
I plan to getting 1 for my Galaxy S..
any recommendation? I-phone compatible 1 cant use on Galaxy S?
*
Supercurio (Voodoo lagfix programmer) was working on the headphone jack fix earlier. It should be able to fix the incompatibility with Apple's earphones. As he tweeted that he actually bought the earphones for testing. lol

BTW, how about using the original handsfree earphones that came with the phone?

Yeah, I tried to use the phone like iphone, always use the home button.

After about 3-4 apps put into the background, everything seems sluggish. Even recall back background apps. It's not nice at all... sad.gif

Not facing this issue, currently with JPO firmware, rooted and ext4-lagfixed with speedmod kernel. Just checked my phone, I have like 17 apps listed as running in the Samsung Task Manager and about 100MB free out of 341MB, seemingly. Not experiencing any sluggishness..

Maybe Froyo > Eclair on this? blush.gif

Hi guys,

I'm trying to flash to Froyo (official, Asia) via Odin way, since my stupid Kies not detecting my phone.

According to this site:
http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-i9000.htm

It stated
QUOTE
$ I9000XWJPA
Flashing way I9000XWJPA: First I9000XWJM8 with RE-Partition and 512.pit. Than I9000XWJPA without RE-Partion use 803.pit.

Does this apply to Asia's firmware? I'm coming from
PDA : I9000DXJG4
PHONE : I9000DXJG4
CSC : I9000OLBJG4

or do I just flash directly to I9000DXJPA?

Any quick tips on patching 3e recovery to 2e recovery for DXJPA?

It's taking too long for me to search through the net for a safe solution and it's already so "early" now sad.gif

*sigh*

PS: Facebook S! is missing from Samsung Apps now. No means of applying Battery mod at the moment, no support for DXJPA yet sad.gif

Left it to charging for a couple of hours when I went to sleep.

The 1st thing I start it up when I woke up, Radio. The whole phone was hanging when I loaded the Radio app. It got stuck for more then 5 secs and I can't interact with the Radio app!

What's with the lag man???

Haven't read your thread to find out what was missing from your puzzle though.

PAPAGO is offline ,  but if u use A-GPS , its need data...
*
A-GPS is just a method of improving GPS locking speed. Yes, it need data, GPRS will do. I'm still not sure whether disable data network would hinder A-GPS to work.

But it has nothing to do with whether Papago being offline or Google Navi being online. They are both different stuff from A-GPS.

Being said, Papago will works, being the GPS is A-GPS or non-A GPS. smile.gif
