thanks for attending to me guys, appreciate it, im flashing again for the fourth time, here are my steps :

1) Using ODIN 1.3, open ODIN, then add the pit file (which i downloaded from samfirmware .803 pit file) then i add the PDA part using a file named JPE_U.tar. then i press start. i tried both repartition ticked and unticked.

2) After finish the ODIN shows PASS then the phone will enter recovery 3e mode and i use home button to select reboot now

3) After pressing reboot, the dancing S will come out and then the S will be there for a while then next thing screen blank and it vibrates every few secs.

Its happening for the fourth time after flashing. how?

Can you get into recovery mode and do a reset?

On the sidenote, did you have non-RFS partition around before you flashed?
*
yes when i press the Vol Up+Home+Power buttons it will bring me recovery mode but when i select reboot it will hang

Did you flash to JM8 first? Then select 803pit for JPD and no repartition?

You choose PDA only? Modem and CSC didn't select any?
*
nope im from stock JF4 did not flash to JM8 cos they didnt mentioned to do that for JPD only for JPA and JPO, anyway im already downloading JM8 now to try flash to that first and see how it goes, gonna be a long night!!

Pressed factory reset and clear cache before you reboot system?

Well, if you don't have modified partitions then it's less concern.
*
nah i hardly did anything to my stock JF4, no lagfix installed at all, anyway i'll try flashing to JM8 now and see how, fingers xrossed

I second that thumbup.gif  as if everythin is fast in Msia only samsung updates are slow like tat.. live in UK la.. oways complain nia when post.
*
i third that!! lol! if we really want froyo sometimes we have to take matters into our own hands, find the info you need flash it on your own, plenty of people here ready to guide you but if complain about SGS of cos it will backfire, the froyo delay is well known in this forum but its my first time using samsung but counting the pros and cons, i still like the phone because of the hardware specs, as for froyo, i took matters into my own hands and flash one that is official in other countries (actually im half way through for those who were following me last night, i managed to flash to JM8 will try flash JPD later when i get back home) or one can also hack kies registry and flash.

so basically, the decision is with us, whether we want to sit down and complain or we take action to get what we want.

haha

my step is

first i flash with XXJM8 with .pit 512,

then flash with JPD with modem and phone, no CSC.........

so now with CSC unknown......

anyway, my phone still fully functioning........
no problem,
*
i did the same thing as you did but after reboot chinese characters started coming out for JPD, was hard to navigate cos they were asking for steps to set up the phone, so i decided to flash to JPA instead, worked fine. by the way, only one .tar file which i placed in PDA for both JPD and JPA which i flash, after flash JPA my *#1234# is :

PDA: I9000XWJPA
PHONE : I9000XXJPP
CSC: I9000XEEJP4

after really testing JPA since this morning, seems like the battery and signal strength compared to my previous JF4 is much improved. but still need some time to test. It feels smoother as well....

The JPD from samfirmware is 1 tarfile with pda, phone, csc components all in, I think. No need to flash it with another CSC unless you're doing troubleshooting/tweaking..
*
ur right, the one tar file contains all

okay, after you get pass the questionair and such on the first boot.

at the homescreen, menu button > down right most button > find picture with letter A on it > tap the top most option

to get pass setup wizard on first boot > 1. right button 2. right button 3. right button, pop up ->left button 5. right button  7. right button
*
where were u when i was flashing JPD last night!!! lol. i reach this part but no one could tell me what to do, so instead i flash to JPA, which so far is not too bad in performance. looking forward to flashing to more improved version of froyo though
