Ya, at least HDReady / 720p ... 480i or p on CRT TV really strain the eyes especially for the small text. And it won't do justice for the graphic of GT5.
If financially restricted, a 1080p PC monitor with HDMI is good enuf..plenty of choices nowadays.
I'd been playing my PS3 on a 29" 480i CRT TV for quite a while; after switching to a 23" 1080p monitor, it's like a refreshing sight.

I registered few countries PSN ID ... using Malaysia as main ID when playing n saving games, but often check other countries Playstation Store, got other goodies.

Tak best sangat lah ... pandu superkar betul baru best ...
tapi tapi ... RM1 juta lawan lebih kurang RM1 ribu (GT5 + G27) ...
jadi, 2nd best ok gak lah...

How's the comparison between Logitech's G25/27 (if u've use one before) and the Fanatech's one?
Read the online reviews before...just wanna hear local opinions.

I guess it'll be just like driving in real life...u don't look left or right all the time, just glance to see ... in racing, u will be trying to block ur opponents if they r faster than u.
However, can it do rearview if I turn my head n neck 180°? (if rearview mirror not on)

Re-read what u wrote ... no need completely look to the sides kua ... ur eyes will still be able to see the screen. But ya, if got triple screen setup, it'll be great.

srsly tho, auto-blip is just racing game setting thingy hor? or does it exist in real-cars?

Sabar, sabar ... read porn first ... err.. I mean the Apex book, ... or the manual, or do a 40-mins finger warming up (or leg & arm if using wheels)..


Hmmm...then be prepared to be shocked. Coz GT is simulation category while Outrun n RR are pure arcade style.
However, if u persevere enuf to get thru all the licenses n don't give up, then yeap, Gran Turismo is one of the most complete driving/racing simulation games available. For me, it definitely has taught me a lot about car tuning. Boring if just read from books or magazines. In GT, can adjust, then test drive, can see the immediate result on track.

Graphic wise, of course Enthusia lost to GT4...but Enthusia is great with wheels...but with just dualshock, it's a monster to master. I think it's actually made with wheels in mind. I actually enjoyed it along with GT4. Played Nürburgring track on both, n I think I spend more time on Enthusia's version of the Ring than GT4's. Could feel the understeer n oversteer of cars more in Enthusia. I guess the physic engine is better tuned. Too bad it's kinda too tough until felt like a chore to play the career mode. I do however, learned to control a wheel better due to Enthusia, there's a kinda Dance-Dance Revolution mode...where u gotta pass thru a marker on track at certain speed, brake correctly n throttle smoothly. The game also made me a fan of Honda NSX, a MR gem to drive; it points where u want it to be, slight oversteer but one of the best A class car apart from Racing class.

Ya, no news about possible sequel ...

which isn't a wonder coz of the difficult gameplay...didn't gather a legion of fans.
Off-track ... off-track .... this is Gran Turismo thread.

I kinda agree with evo (not becoz wanna ampu him) ... until GT4, it isn't the best racing game, but it is a great driving simulator...with all the cars, it's a heaven. Pure racing on track, other games could provide more thrills. I hope however, GT5 could change this, at least in the racing simulation category ...

E.g. 24hrs Endurance Race in Nürburgring Part 1, 2 & 3 (starring Yamauchi-san). Japanese PSN got, but Japanese dub only, no Eng sub, of course-lah. US PSN, got also, Eng dub, yeay!
