well my post is based on GT5 P, so i dont know what is the final product gonna be. if the real cars have 7 gear, then in the game it will have 7 gears - the limitation is the hardware of the actual wheel - G27, G25 only have 6 plus reverse gear mapped.

And please dont take the moniker "The real driving simulator" to heart. Every driving game and sim game on PC/console has its flaws. For home base consumer, the driving games offered now has its limitation as PS3 is not the most powerful machine in terms of computing in the world.

Take an example, Redbulls' F1 simulator cost them millions of dollars to build - and that just simulate ONE car. GT5 has like, 800+ cars? To simulate all the individual traits of teh cars (800 of them) will take a lot of time and source to simulate.

Yamauchi said that GT is not a finished product. He said that people literally had to stop him from continuing development of the game so that we can have GT5 this year.. if its up to him, he will continue to perfect his vision LOL. Thats why he confirmed last month that work on GT6 is already on the way.

we are talking about the H-gate shifter, not the paddle shifter.
