When u sign up for Byond, and if u are already subscribed to the Sports package, u will get this channel..

As of rite now, this is not a permanent channel..so far, it has only showed a number of BPL games but they were the BIG BPL GAMES..when there are no matches scheduled to be broadcast, the channel wlll shut down..but expect this channel to become a regular feature or might even be permanent coz the BPL is already shown in 3D on a weekly basis in the UK by Sky Sports so its not hard to find the source content wise for Astro..

N i remember this channel has also shown Golf in 3D..

Does this Beyond HD can be applied on existing channels? Or have to re-subscribe additional channels for support HD?

Hello, i want to ask about the pvr function. For now, i am eyeing to buy the wd passport av instead of buying the new decoder. But i want to know, if i record a show but i dont turn on the tv, is that possible? And also, if i want to record a show but watch another show, is that possible?

I don't understand the concept of single tuner. I've called astro but they don't know anything about it. Only encourage me to buy the decoder instead. Can anyone hellp expleain to me?

Actually, you don't buy the decoder. RM300/400 is installation charges. The decoder is belong to Astro. If you terminate astro, they will collect back the decoder.

I would suggest you go to PVR. Ext HDD will give you more problem.

Compare the different between PVR & ext HDD.

With ext HDD, if you watching recorded program while recording, actually nothing is recorded although planner not indicate recording fail. Ext HDD is useful if you want to record when you're not watching, or if you watching during recording don't do anything else (not even pause).
My problem is even worst. Although not recording, if I rewind or pause, live program will not buffered doh.gif

Unfortunately no. This is the drawback for PVR.
With ext HDD, you can have as many HDD as you want.

Oh. So if i want to record but at the same time i want to watch other channels, it means the shows that i want to record will not be recorded? Because i figured i won't use as often but lately good stuff have been on tv and catching up with the reruns will be quite confusing. (especially if the episodes all jumbled up)

Astro is phasing out Max so frankly speaking we dont hv much of a choice then to accept their offer and change to beyond. Holding on to Max is not of any help cos it is no more compatible, and the provider is replacing it. nod.gif Earlier Astro had phased out the 1st generation decorders and twice our smartcards remember ?Thats why now they play smart most of the tools to recive astro are given FOC which means its thier property. hmm.gif But once ur smartcard is faulty, for nothin u must pay RM80!

To be honest, I don't want to give up my astro max because I don't want to have to rip up my new entertainment centre to lay another cable for the new PVR. When it first came out there was some talk of something called a stacker-destacker but nothing since.

Unlike other people, my max stb works fine. A few niggles over the years but overall worth the MYR500 or so it cost. Ignoring my cable problem, I'd be happy with two years free recording in return for giving up the old box.
