Berita yang baru kami terima mengatakan bahawa mulai Januari 2011, Astro melalui rangkaian Mustika bakal bersiaran dalam format HD sepenuhnya. Mustika yang mempunyai 3 saluran filem dan drama iaitu Citra, Warna dan B4U itu bakal menayangkan karya-karya terbaik yang hanya dalam format HD sepenuhnya. Para penerbit filem dan drama yang tidak menggunakan format HD semasa penggambaran tidak layak untuk menayangkan produk mereka di saluran HD tersebut. ASTRO CITRA HD, WARNA HD, dan B4U HD itu akan mulai beroperasi pada awal tahun depan mengikut kesesuaian siaran dan pengumuman kelak. Pelanggan Astro yang hanya melanggan pakej BEYOND HD sahaja akan menerima tiga saluran tersebut dalam format HD sepenuhnya. Pihak ASTRO kini merangka strategi untuk menjadikan ASTRO sepenuhnya beroperasi dalam format HD. Nantikan info terkini secara ekslusif di sini ya..

On July 7, 2010 a power glitch in the INSAT 4B satellite turned down the DTH system partly and SUN Direct announced that the service will be free till whole services are restored. The partial service was restored on INSAT 4B with 193 channels and meantime SUN Direct is now transmitting 173 channels on MEASAT-3 for uninterrupted transition of its customers from INSAT 4B at 93.5°E. to MEASAT-3 at 91.5°E. Sun direct now using 4 Measat-3 Transponders(TP's) and 3 INSAT-4B TP's to provide DTH services, and additionally thorugh exclusive agreement with BIG TV, a DTH arm of Reliance ADAG group, Sundirect Shares 2 TP's of BigTV(BIG TV holds 12 TP's in Measat-3 to get 58 Free-to-Air Channels on Sun Direct, i.e. BIG TV allows SunDirect to get signals of FTA channels to Sun direct. Now its on news that SunDirect is going to stop services from INSAT-4B soon, and to continue services fully from Measat-3. Sun Direct becomes first DTH Provider to change satellite.

I received few letters from Astro quering if I want to upgrade to B'yond or not but choose to ignore it. 2 days ago the Astro customer service call me and ask me to upgrade top B'yond. I told her that i will do so when all your channels are upgraded to full HD or else what for paying RM20 for only few channels viewing in HD.
