Watching Astro in HD is somehow cool! So hope all channel in HD.

The quality is near BD quality.

And thanks to the remote control is programmable, now I can use astro remote to control my TV volume, mute, AV selection and off the TV.

Better than normal one, but don't put too high hope, it just slightly better and viewable than before.

Lucky I not choose this, it is in my list, but end up I choose Samsung C530. The 1st code in Astro manual already working successful.

They do open Zhi Zun HD channel but in SD quality for all subscriber that not subscribe b.yond.

If anyone showing of to me how big his/her TV are but with SD source, I will launching that person.

Without HD source (nor matter is broadcast-Astro, blu-ray or downloadable media), the HDTV (LED/LCD/Plasma) is useless!

Yeah! yaya!

If you think RM 20 is way too expensive, then just unsubscribe it or don't subscribe.

No point complaining, they is no free meal in this world.

Those say not everyone is rich and no money on it is rubbish, if you are poor enough then stick to your current CRT TV, even your current CRT TV is spoil, then buy another CRT TV (I believe it can save a lot for you and put in more important things which can feed you - food). Means while unsubscribe your Astro package, as if money is concern, a normal antenna Free TV channel is well enough.

HD is luxury thing and is not a must to get, it just extra for better entertainment but not important / a must have in life.

You can paid HDTV price, means you can afford that little RM 20 for HD source. If you can't, no one is forcing you upgrade to HDTV and wait for HD source FOC.

If you want to an earlier bird test, sometimes extra expenses is needed. HD is not common yet for now in Malaysia or a lot of countries in the world, wait till it became common, every channel will be HD and FOC or as it suppose price. (or move to Japan now, Japan now is 100% all channel in HD and FOC).

At JB Giant still plenty of CRT TV.

You still can get those CRT TV from Giant, Carrefour.

Not from Jusco or any electrical shop like SenQ, Court M and etc.

** Above my post is actually pointing to one of the forumer here that keep saying RM 20 no value due to so call "We need to have the XXX HD channel", in fact is he need it not "we" need it.

Follow the user guide to setup the volume button work with your current tv volume control.

No lah, you can switch off, just sometimes when not watching, let it be idle (standby mode) for if any updates required.

I never on my decoder 24 hours, only on when watching Astro, and sometimes let it idle (standby mode) during lunch or dinner time, will definitely switch off during bed time.

If switch of the power will make the decoder not working, then what happen if no electricity for few hours or even a day? Don't told me it need send over for servicing as you not connected it 24 hours with power on. That installer guy talking nothing....

Yesterday afternoon just subscribe to Astro Movies package as I want to watch Oscar in HD today morning 8:30AM



Haha! now I just knew the HBO HD and Star Movie HD is showing the same show as SD channel with slightly delay on times and HD channel no subtitle while SD channel came with at least a malay subtitle..

The add-on channel is act fast, I think after I drop the call and put on standby around 15 mins, the channel already activate.

Quality wise is ok but not brilliant as you seen BD.

For my feel, I think at the moment the most clearance HD channel is 310 - ZhiZhun HD.

I have all the HD channel now except Sport as I not subscribing any sport package.

Yaya...true.....it do hang once or twice for me where not happened to others HD channel.

Lastly they change, actually yesterday I am too free and email them this error... haha

Ya! when it coming! I need the speed! when ..when... when...!

You better call CS as people suggest, I think your decoder abnormal. It won't keep in boot so often.
