Time, Astro to collaborate for provision of IPTV, broadband services

KUALA LUMPUR: TIME DOTCOM BHD  wholly-owned subsidiary TT dotCom Sdn Bhd has entered into principal terms of collaboration with MEASAT Broadcast Network Systems Sdn Bhd (Astro) for the provision of IPTV and Broadband services across the Klang Valley and Penang.

Time said on Monday, Dec 20 that the collaboration with Astro would allow it o acquire customers at a faster rate in the target areas, and leverage on the strengths of its 100% Pure Fibre Broadband network.

“Bundling Astro's IPTV and B.yond service with Time Fibre Broadband allows both parties to deliver best of breed services to the end customer.

“As a result, Time's wholesale business is further strengthened via working with an anchor partner such as Astro,” it said.

Time said the collaboration was expected to contribute positively to its earnings moving forward.

Among the terms of the collaboration, Astro would deploy its HD/VOD/B.yond pay tv service on Time's Fibre Broadband Infrastructure, redefining the home multimedia experience, package.

The service will be available to 11,400 homes today and an estimated 167,000 homes in over 1,500 buildings by end December 2011 across the Klang Valley and Penang.

Time said the parties aimed to enter into the collaboration agreement, for a term of 10 years, no later than Jan 31, 2011.

Should I request upgrade on Astro website or should I do so with one of Astro's reseller? If same, I prefer the reseller hoping they can make some money off the upgrade. No point giving all the money to Astro alone.

Does I need to change the Ori Hdmi cable?i dont know why my picture so blurry.Does Changing the HQ cable like monster cable,gives you a better picture?What is the best Hdmi cable beside monster cable?

guys, why need to change the HDMI cable? cannot use the HDMI cable provide by astro?

Will be added on your billing - monthly, quarterly, 1/2 yearly and yearly.

No la... 6% on your actual billing amount... Say, if your quarterly billing amount is $300 then 6% add on will be $18.  Total amt billed is $318.  No amount will be billed until your next billing frequency, ie., after 3 mths time, unless you change your package in this 3 mths period.

Good, Now go and email Astro your resume and tell them you will be their HD Subtitles Designer. They may have to create a new post for you though since they don't have 'real' subs for HD Programs yet.
