I asked my friend...he sent me the price list...and this was the price. They are not even selling the WDTV Live Hub for their employees yet...
Sometimes, because of the fluctuations in the USD, they are prone to increase / decrease the price. I am not sure where RM 299 was ever offered, but i know that the price now is RM 330.00 ... Plus takes months to come... smile.gif

Bro, need to ask something
How do you properly set up tversity to share your files?
I just simply added the folder I wanted to share, wdtv does detect the files
but I'm getting error 'File Format Not Supported'?

So I tried using NFS to mount the shares
Works great and no more stuttering with 1080p files
I'm surprised Avatar 1080p(15gb) that I streamed wirelessly from my laptop plays fine
with NFS blink.gif
Anyway, I still can't get wireless connection to work with WDTV Live and Youtube.
Tried entering streamyx dns server that you listed before this but still the same problem hmm.gif

Erm...not much to setup. Just add the folders only. If you get the 'File Format Not supported', maybe some of the files not supported by WDTV Live and cannot transcode at the PC server. For example, you can setup one folder, dump all the RMVB files there and in TVERsity, set to 'Always Transcode'. This will automatically transcode the RMVB files at ur PC and ur WDTV Live will be able to view it.

But some files, dunno what format will still have problems.

So ur status now: 1080p files can play over wireless on WDTV Live? Youtube cannot?

I solve the problem but renaming the files to short version and without periods.
It is worse than girl, too many periods it can't cope or can't read wat kind of file!
Matrix.s04e10.hdtv.xvid-fqm.avi is read as .hdtv file! doh.gif

You got any better FREE solution then?? I don't see what's the big deal renaming files. I hate long meaningless file names anyway. It's only a 5 seconds job. doh.gif

Not getting much luck with TVersity for my WD TV Live. Tried playing a RMVB file through the TVersity which is supposed to transcode it, the transcoding process seems to stay at 0% and after a while, the TVersity media server crashes or does not respond anymore. sweat.gif

Yeah, just testing with my laptop, it only has 54mbps wireless adapter so I just use TP Link-WN821 300mbps usb wifi
I'm surprised it works, nfs share really does wonders

Don't have any rmvb files, I only have mkv and avi files
Still same problem with DNS server when testing the connection
The dns number listed is 192.168.1.1
Youtube is still a problem, even after I reverted back to original firmware sweat.gif

TP-LINK WN821 Rev 2.2 works with WDTV Live...but in Malaysia so far i see Rev 2.0 ... so i didn't buy that...WDTV forums also emphasize on the Revisions...but there have been reports of Aztech N150 RM 25 adapter also works with the WDTV...thats cool of WD to design a firmware that seems to support many different kinds of adapters.

Yeah mate, i too would love to know which router / ap u r using...

DNS, can put in streamyx DNS or Open DNS, it should work right?
Sometimes internal DNS doesn't work, i put external one, and things work. Dunno la...i am sure u would have tried.

Using TP Link Gigabit Router TL-WR1043ND
So far so good, tested again with Saving Private Ryan 1080p(19.77 gb)
I only watch 10 minutes of the battle at Omaha beach scene and no lag yet

What's the external DNS number that you're using?
