Yeah.. I was talking about SMS, NOT call ring tone. So, does this mean that we are stuck with the pre-installed ring tone for SMS?

actually, about the notification sound for SMS, try other sms apps
GO SMS
Handcent SMS
Chomp SMS
all these apps able to do much more stuff than our pre installed "message".
and please toy around with the setting before asking those noob question like "getting two notification".
and trust me, those alternative apps is so much better than the stock one.
i currently using Handcent sms.
if want a bit simple, try Go SMS or Chomp sms

Ringtone in SMS can be filled in notifications folder in tha audio. you can just simply cpoy any SMS ringtone whether you create it urself or download in the notifications folder
after that, just open your Messages > All massages > Menu > Settings > Received messages. just klik "set notification sound" an tadaa u can just choose any sms ringtone that u filled

i think what he mean is the apps file,
yes, the apps smaller than handcent...
personally, i do few that GO sms is better than Handcent sms
u should really try it...

Popocambest, thank you for your attention and help. Where is my 'notifications folder in tha audio'? My memory card? I checked and there is no folder titled notification.

It become -Quote means its quoted, just that you have to press reply (on the side of the quote) to start quoting. You can quote multiple replies, by clicking the +Quote on several messages and all of them will become -Quote. Then click the Add Reply from the bottom page. I hope I isn't wrong this time

well if u looked at the first page there was an instruction on .:HTC Wildfire Operational Guide for New User:... u must create it yourself

about that quote, what u did on '+ Quote button' is correct. after that just klik "Add Reply" at the bottom right corner - next to "Fast Reply"
maybe u just click the "Add Reply" that located at the middle bottom of this page. its the same. but click "More Options" first if u wanted to include that quote

I already try GO SMS, it is far better than Handcent sms.

Create a file at SD card
media/audio/notifications
Then put your mp3 sms ringtone at notifications folder.
Then you can use the sms sound at setting > sound & display > notification sound

but go sms is not as customizable as handcent sms
etc, can't customize the style of conversation, the font size or color, the color of bubble, can't customize each threat..
haha...
i addicted to customization..
