bf2 is fading out fast. bf3 coming next year. they make it free lor for bf2.

Dont know is it just me or what.

Feels like DICE is trying to break Battlefield to bits. Unlike the previous battlefield like 2142 to the original 1942 which are all huge game with tonnes of content, seems like now they just:"LOL, BC2 with 8 maps. LOL, BC2:Vietnam with 4 maps. LOL, 1943 with 2 maps. Then, they remake BF2 with new textures with a LOL, handful of maps.

Feels like if im gonna play Battlefield, i need to have a few separate Battlefield games, which feels a bit weird to me.

I blardy hope they have a proper SEA servers to run this. Tired of getting kicked out of Battlefield Heroes so often due to my higher than 100 ping.

I tried to play for Battlefield Heroes.
Very often I get kicked out because my ping is higher than 100.

why asia dont get to play it? it is a good chance to promote BF series for pirate infested asia! i can get my friends to play and get poisoned so they could anticipate for the coming BF3! hehe...

I think no point getting in on the beta at this moment other than to find out what this game really is. There doesn't seem to be any nearby server. Lag is not tolerable.

This game is Battlefield 2 mix with Bad Company 2(the class system etc)

EDIT : other than that...can't say much about this game...NDA

I learned my lesson after battlefield heroes. Wasted my money buying some outfits and weapons. Can't play coz I kept getting kicked out for high ping.

Wonder if got Aussie servers.

on.net and gamearena reported to have some servers up but i dont think it will happen. Will see how. So far the lag isnt that bad. Much smoother than 2142 and BC2 for me.

The game is pretty dumb-down as it doesnt use Esc or Enter, you have to click on buttons to apply settings. Wow.

Just tested it out and dont feel lag. Pretty smooth for me

No kick due to high ping. Smooth gameplay @ full screen. Avoid windowed mode, you can't do proper shooting at all

Just joined today. Smooth gameplay on a server provided by Battlefield P4F itself. But on most server is almost a guranteed autokick.

On the other hand, once into you get into a stable server, its smooth sailing with awesome gameplay.

This is my first battlefield online, too. BFBC2 i cant even find a playable server.

(Now, if only theres a way to toggle ADS...)

i nearly uninstalled this game due to lagging issue..
just playing twice..with some bullet register issue.

I think Battlefield P4F itself have mutliple server across world. I was in a server where most player have names like ChinSong and Kopitiam_Kaki and Roti something.

Had to be one of those SEA servers.

Man,this is stupid.I got kicked out for every 1 min(I think) because of high ping.EA fix this!!!!! Don't forget the Asians!!!!!

Just want to say, I've been hooked this since last Thursday (7th of April?).. I agree with what Akiyo is saying.. Its smooth sailing once you get to a good server..

Althou there are some cases where I got kicked for high pings and some server where there are noticeable half a second lag.. if you can cope with it, its a great time burner..

We wont be able to choose server till they put a proper Server Browser on a later date.. so its down to your luck for now..

This is my first Battlefield game too.. and so far i'm loving this.. anyone can tell me if the latest BF game is as good as this?

take me about 3-4 times of getting high ping kick before i find a server that wont kick...
and that one also laggy until get headache playing on it...

This is bad news for me.. cause I just signed up for Unifi hoping it would lessen the High Ping problem.. I'm guessing it will only solve the Malaysian part of the network lag, while the connection to US still as slow as ever..

It's not that they've forgotten Asians. They do have Asian servers but it's expensive and hosted in Japan.

About 35 Euros for a 16-18 slot server. And not many Asians can afford that amount, say, Malaysians - 35 Euros is like >RM150.

just play for 2 hrs. its easy to kill inf but hard on the tanks. plus i may have a slightest feeling on how bf3 will feel like w/o lag

Bottom right of the Battlefield P4F web. Got a "rent a server" banner. Got Japan and OZ service but their pricing still in Euros.

The server you rent of course need to pay. It's like you renting a server to host a Counter Strike game =)
