QUOTE(Kyl3 @ Dec 24 2010, 08:10 AM) You kidding bro? Of course its worth it! While the whole Android Nation is waiting to get some Froyo goodness, we are waiting for Gingerbread which will be out very soon now (I am already even running it!). Even after almost one year, the Nexus One still feels like brand new device and the fun is never ending. What device would you like to compare with it? Bring it on QUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Dec 24 2010, 04:15 PM) commenting in this thread is like entering the shrine of sifus. Titanium Backup - Backups all your applications and settings on your phone memory to the SD cardAnyway, I wanna know what's the difference of the backup from Titanium Backup and Rom Manager's backup option? I sort of understand that the backup option in ROM manager is actually a Nandroid backup that backs up the entire ROM, am I right? But does this backup include the apps and smses and stuff? I've made a backup using ROM Manager and it's about 800MB big. Rooted my Desire Z and trying out to figure out the best way to make a backup before flashing a custom ROM. ROM Manager - This is called nandroid. Its an "image" of your phone of the particular state. If you restore this, your phone will return to exactly that state where you backed it up. EVERY SINGLE THING. and yes, it does include apps and smses - everything that is on your phone. You would restore the Titanium Backup after a successful ROM flash. You would restore the nandroid if something fails or goes wrong - or the ROM that you are using doesn't fit your flava.. |

Actually flashing the gapps pack alone will do..No need wipe and flash the previous version..Provided the current ROM doesn't have any gapps pack..
