Hehehe you should try Micromod desire superhybrid v2.14 can swap between sense to launcher pro at ur wish at any time, also its very responsive and battery saving my nexus one survived 2 days without charging but only reason i havent tried miui cz it looks similar to apple but i need to give it a try perhaps tonight will try but this desire superhybrid is really cool =)
*
i wanna try desire hd rom but the camera is having problem, like crippled the camera features, cannot do video recording summore. That's why i stick with miui 1st. Miui is similiar to apple only the stock launcher haha.

Even MIUI can switch between ADW/stock/LauncherPro with ease smile.gif I can't immagine how fast(er) a ROM can be than this MIUI, but I'll give it a shot..SenseUI has no chance over empty ROM though..That's what my experience with Sense so far has explained.. happy.gif

u mean sense ui is no better than normal stock rom? I see sense ui kinda fancy, feels like trying it out, but maybe only desire hd rom got a better sense UI lolz.

Guys i'm downloading CyanogenMod-6.1 RC2 from Rom Manager now. First time downloading ROM. It's moving slowly, but does it really take that long? blink.gif

I've finally finished downloading this ROM. Then i choose Install from Sd Card and it prompted me whether i want to backup my current ROM and clear/wipe data and cache. So i checked both box and it rebooted.

But it the exclamation mark with the android logo appeared. What have i done wrong?

Hi bro's i did a quadrant test for this two roms and here is the score

MM desire super hybrid v2.14 1353
Miui RodriguezsTyle 1335/1374

The MM desire super hybrid scored higher then a stock froyo however i only made one attempt earlier but the miui on the other hand i made 2 attempts the first was 1335 which was lower then the stock froyo on N1 but the second one was even faster then desire super hybrid and also based on the responsiveness i would say the miui is probably the most responsive rom out there but i would not dismiss the super hybrid just yet cz its a very stable and one of the fastest sense rom's out there but one flaw i have 2 admit regarding the superhybrid rom that it consumes alot of storage space which gives the miui another plus point but overall if u love htc sense this is probably the fastest sense rom out there but the miui on the other hand offers a very unique ui overhaul not seen in other roms so yeah 2 sum it up both are awesome and worth to try =)

You are right but it is faster then stock froyo but yeah the miui is still more responsive and faster but the desire hybrid considering its size isn't too bad either thanks for the miui recommendation now i got 2 fav roms but i think i wanna revert 2 sense in time 2 come =)

maybe can try Enomther's TheOfficial Nexus1 - v2.14.4..
is by fast one of the fastes rom i tried. average score 1500...without overclock and i got >300 apps installed.
battery life so so, not great. on average use around 16 - 17 hours.

for those like Miui layout, i believe it's one of the best rom for u.

Thank's for asking bro. Finally figured it out last nite. It seems that I need to put the zip files to the root of my sd card first, den Flash ClockworkMod Recovery first, den Reboot into Recovery. Haha. I thought i downloaded the Cyanogen files from my phone edi, but it seems that it was in another folder and i have to put it in the root of sd card manually.

Anyways, just flashed Cyanogen 6.1 RC2. Yay thumbup.gif

Yes MIUI is awesome - it is still the best and most stable on my HD2 . Unbelievably slick and very fast. Absolutely no lags or screen freezes.
I have sold off my Nexus but I believe it'll be equally good too on the Nexus

Do i need to change any kernels or radios to get optimum performance? Or is it advisable to use the stock ones? smile.gif

Bro bass, i used this one click rooting method 2 days ago to root my nexus FRG83D.. it works.. biggrin.gif

Souce : The Unlockr

I. Before You Begin

1. This should work on a variety of different phones. The only phones that it does NOT work on so far are:

Sprint EVO 4G (HTC Supersonic)
Droid Incredible (HTC Incredible)
HTC Desire GSM
HTC Desire CDMA (HTC BravoC)
HTC Aria
Droid Eris (HTC DesireC)
HTC Wildfire (HTC Buzz)
HTC Legend
MyTouch Slide

For those phones head here and click on the specific phone for that procedure.

2. This procedure gives you root access on your phone, in order to load a custom ROM, please do this procedure then continue to the next procedure for your specific device at the end of this procedure.

3. This currently only works on Windows computers. If you do not have a Windows computer, please find a friend with a Windows computer to do this (I guarantee you have at least one).

4. You must have Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 or higher. If not, download it from here (32 bit) or here (64 bit).

THANKS AndroidPolice for the Tip!
THANKS CLShortFuse for the super easy program!
II. Root the Phone

1. Download and install the latest version of the rooting program, unzip it, and install it on your computer:

One Click Rooting Program

2. On your phone, go to Settings > Applications > Development > Make sure USB Debugging is checked ON.

3. Plug your phone in via USB cable to the computer.

4. Right click the program and click Run As Administrator (or just double click it if using Windows XP).

5. Click the Root button and wait for it to finish.

6. Once done, you should see superuser permissions in your phone’s apps. If so, you are all set!
III. (Optional) Enable WiFi Tethering

1. Once you have root access, you can install WiFi tethering for your phone. Head to the WiFi tethering site and download the appropriate version for your phone (if your phone is not listed, they do not currently support your model):

WiFi Tethering .apk

2. Then save it to your phone’s SD Card.

3. Download Linda File Manager (free) from the Market on your phone and open it.

4. Navigate to where the .apk file is saved on your phone’s memory card and click it to install it.

5. When you open the WiFi tethering app for the first time, click Allow when Superuser pops up asking for permission. All set!
IV. (Optional) Load a Custom Recovery Image/ROM

1. To load a custom ROM you need a custom recovery image. Please click the procedure below to load a custom recovery image onto your phone:

How To Flash a Custom ROM (ROM Manager Method)
