Added on May 10, 2012, 8:06 amfor security system wiring setup, since most wireman dunno about security system, how u guys prepare it?
for me, i need to buy cables and tell them how to wire, but im not sure if i can tell my wireman correctly. (i have not decided which one to buy)

controller+keypad = near door
door/window switch = 2 wire (for the 3 rooms, need to wire all the up to 2nd floor, must be expensive)
motion detector = 4 wire (still have not decided how many needed), put in corner front/back...still thinking should put on 2nd floor)

I just got my quote from one of the installer

Paradox SP5500 (double storey link house) rm2940
10 zones control panel with Back-up Battery 1 set
digital LED keypad *2
Magnetic Contact *15
Motion Detector *1
supply and laying 4 cores alarm cable in PVC Conduits *1 lot
include wiring, labour, installation

if wiring, labour is RM1500， this still seems more expensive eh
