@little ice
We did started out like that back then..hahaha. Still remember the olden days where we kena kutuk kau kau by our seniors for not quantizing our arrangement...lolz.
@Stevenc89
Do take heed to what ice said. He knows what he's saying as he's a professional music arranger and gone thru the years of making music for local artist etc.
My comments are:
1. Timing is not spot on.
2. Clash notes..you need to watch out for that.
3. Lot's of bass sustain under the whole track..could be your usage of pedal.
Do understand this. Notes will be notes. Notes does not convey emotions. I can play lot's of notes but when there is not emotions, it will just be bunch of noise.
What you need now is to play your piano with emotions and of course proper notations of notes to carry your emotion thru your playing.
As for your strings, you still needs heaps of work and alot of listening. Let's take an example of a violin player. When he or she bows the violin, there's always either long or short notes and volume varies (loud to soft or soft to loud) to convey the emotions of his or her playing. Same goes when you arrange your string sections. Be mindful of the emotions you're conveying.
Cheers
